Ever since Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir have supported US President Donald Trump’s Gaza plan, they are facing opposition in their own country. Radical organization Tehreek-e-Labbaik (TLP) had warned of taking out a march till Islamabad regarding this. The workers of the organization were staying in Muridke last night, during which Pakistan Rangers carried out a massacre, in which 280 workers of Tehreek-e-Labbaik died.

To stop the march of Tehreek-e-Labbaik from Lahore to Islamabad, Pakistani Rangers and police jointly conducted an operation in Muridke from 3 to 9 in the morning. There was indiscriminate firing on the protesters and tear gas shells were released. Pakistani security forces set the stage of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan on fire. The organization claimed that 280 of its workers lost their lives in police firing, while more than 1900 were injured. Not only this, after the indiscriminate firing by the police, scattered dead bodies are also visible around the stage.

Workers stayed in Muridke for 2 days

Let us tell you that Tehreek-e-Labbaik had started a march from Lahore to Islamabad on last Friday, which was halted in Muridke for the last two days. Talks were going on between Lubbock’s Amir Maulana Saad Hussain Rizvi and Shahbaz Sarkar, but last night at around 11 pm Saad Hussain Rizvi had announced that the talks had failed and he would not listen to the government. Saad said that he will move towards Islamabad with the workers.

PAK Rangers created a massacre at 3 in the morning

After this announcement of Maulana Saad Hussain Rizvi, the Pakistan government got nervous and quickly made a plan to stop him from entering Islamabad by any means. Pakistani Rangers and Police jointly launched the operation at 3 am Indian time. To disperse the workers, smoke grenades were first thrown and then indiscriminate firing was done. After the massacre in Muridke, the police arrested Maulana Saad Hussain Rizvi and other TLP leaders.

Imran Khan Pakistan: A Pakistan court on Tuesday dismissed the petitions requesting bail after the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in eight terrorism cases related to the riots of May 9.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has several cases registered in Lahore in connection with the violence of May 9, 2023, including allegations of abusing their supporters to attack government and military buildings. The violence erupted after Imran’s arrest by paramilitary Rangers from Islamabad High Court premises.

A court official told the news agency PTI, “The Lahore High Court (LHC) has dismissed all the bail petitions filed by Imran Khan in relation to eight cases related to the cases of May 9, 2023, including attacks and arson incidents on Jinnah House/Lahore Core Commander House.”

Eight cases against Imran Khan

A two-member bench of LHC headed by Justice Shahbaz Rizvi ruled on the bail petitions filed by Khan in eight cases.

The bench reserved its decision on Monday after completing the hearing. These eight cases include Jinnah House attack, Askari Tower Attack, arson in Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PTI-N) office, setting fire to Shadman police station, burning police vehicles near Jinnah House and arson on Sherpao police.

Imran Khan will file a petition in Supreme Court

The anti-terrorism court of Lahore had earlier rejected Khan’s bail plea in these cases, after which he challenged the decision in LHC. A lawyer of Khan said that he would challenge the decision of the Lahore High Court in the Supreme Court. Khan has been in jail for almost two years in many cases.

Apart from this, his party alleged on Tuesday that Khan has been kept in solitude imprisonment and his cell had been cut off. Senior PTI leader Zulfi Bukhari said in a post on ‘X’, “Imran Khan has been isolated, he is not being given basic facilities which he is legally entitled.”
