The situation in the South-East Asian country Thailand has become very bad due to floods and landslides. The number of people who died due to natural disaster in the country has increased to 145, out of which a total of 110 deaths have been recorded in Songkhla province of Thailand alone. These natural disasters have had a widespread impact on the large population of Thailand. In this, 12.5 lakh houses and more than 36 lakh people have been affected.

In this difficult time, the people of the country are very angry due to the negligence of the government. The disaster of floods and landslides in Thailand has come at a time when the country is already facing difficult problems like economic recession, decline in tourism and tension on the border. In such a situation, people’s anger towards the government is increasing.

PM implements emergency law in Thailand

Admitting shortcomings in Thailand’s flood management, a government spokesperson said, ‘Mistakes have been made and the government cannot deny this. He said that Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul had announced the imposition of emergency in Songkhla province on Tuesday (November 25, 2025). Along with this, he also implemented emergency law to speed up relief and rescue operations. Whereas Thailand’s Disaster Management Minister had to walk out after being surrounded by questions being asked during the press conference.

According to news agency IANS, Thailand’s government spokesperson said that the water level is expected to go below the river banks by Thursday evening. If the water level goes down, it will make rescue operations easier and the government will be able to start a large-scale cleaning campaign.

9 areas of southern Thailand badly affected due to floods

Quoting the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, news agency IANS said that monsoon floods have badly affected nine provinces in the southern region of Thailand. Due to which 2.20 million people of Thailand have been affected.

Sri Lanka is going through a very difficult phase these days. Heavy rains that have continued for several days have submerged large parts of the country. Floods and landslides have completely halted people’s daily lives. According to the latest government report, 56 people have died so far and more than 600 houses have been badly damaged. 60 people are missing due to floods in Sri Lanka.

According to the report of Al Jazeera, the situation is said to be most serious in the central mountainous areas of Sri Lanka. Landslides are frequent occurrences in tea production areas like Badulla and Nuwara Eliya, causing great distress to the families living there. Many houses were buried under mud and contact with many villages was lost. The maximum damage has been seen due to floods in these two districts.

Government imposed ban across the country

In view of the continuously worsening situation, the administration has taken a big step. The government has announced that all government offices and schools will remain closed for the time being. The water level of rivers and reservoirs is above danger, so people have been advised to go out of their homes less.

Roads broken, railways stalled

Many main roads have been closed due to landslides and water logging. At some places, debris accumulated on the railway tracks, due to which many trains had to be stopped. Traffic between the capital Colombo and remote districts has almost come to a halt.

Air Force and Navy engaged in rescue operation

With the help of helicopters, those people who are stuck on the roofs of the houses are being evacuated. Naval teams are taking the families trapped in the flood to safe areas through boats. Many villages are still submerged in water, due to which relief work is going on continuously.

Three people died due to car being washed away

A car slipped into the river in the strong current of water in the eastern district of Ampara. When the rescue team arrived, the three people present in the car could not be saved. This incident further increases people’s fear of how dangerous floods are.

Next two days are very important

The Meteorological Department has warned that there is little chance of the rain stopping and the situation may worsen in the next 48 hours. There is a danger of landslides in new places. The government has appealed to the people to stay in high places and take full precautions.

Heavy rains continue to wreak havoc in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Half a dozen houses were hit by debris in the Kuntari ward of Nandanagar Nagar Panchayat on Wednesday night, in which ten people were reported missing. Among them, 8 people have gone missing in Kuntari Laga Pali and 2 in Dhurma.

According to Chamoli District Disaster Management Center, two people have been rescued safely in this incident. NDRF and SDRF teams have reached the spot for relief and rescue operations. People have been asked to take shelter in safe places.

Trading face of landslides

According to information received from Chamoli District Disaster Management Center, this incident in Kuntari ward of Nandanagar stems from landslides due to heavy rains. Many houses were badly damaged due to debris and the lives of families were in crisis.

The CMO has sent a medical team with three 108 ambulances on the spot. The administration has intensified relief and rescue operations at the scene. Efforts are being made on a war footing to save the people trapped in the debris.

Relief teams are engaged day and night in search of missing people. Even a fortnight ago, about 16 houses had come under danger due to the land and deep cracks in the same ward. At that time 64 people were safely evacuated and transferred to relief camps.

List of missing people in accident

According to the information, Kunwar Singh (42 years) son Balwant Singh, Kanta Devi, wife Kunwar Singh (38), Vikas and Vishal son Kunwar Singh (10 years), Narendra Singh son Kutal Singh (40), Jagdamba Prasad son Khyali Ram (70), Bhagi Devi wife Jagdamba Prasad (65) are missing.

2 people are reported missing in village Dhurma of Tehsil Ghat Nandanagar. These include the names of Guman Singh son Chandra Singh (age 75) and Mamta Devi wife Vikram Singh (age 38).

River flood havoc in Mokh Valley

The flood of Mokh river in Dhurma village in Mokh Valley of Nandanagar has also wreaked havoc. Half a dozen houses were completely ruined due to flood debris. The local administration has issued an alert in the affected areas and has intensified the work of transferring people to safe places.

Relief work fast, Administration alert

The district administration has given instructions to provide immediate relief material for the affected families. NDRF and SDRF teams are conducting rescue operations in landslide affected areas. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rain for the next few days in many districts of Uttarakhand including Chamoli, which has caused a risk of landslides and floods.

The pilgrimage of the famous Mata Vaishno Devi temple located in Reasi district of Jammu...

The pilgrimage of the famous Mata Vaishno Devi temple located in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir has been postponed till further orders due to continuous rains. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board gave information about this on X on Saturday (13 September). The yatra was scheduled to start again on Sunday (September 14) after being postponed for 19 days, but due to the weather it has been stopped at the moment.

On August 26, there was a landslide on the route leading to Mata Vaishno Devi, in which 34 devotees were killed and 20 others were injured. The pilgrimage was immediately postponed after this accident.

After this, the board decided a few days ago that the yatra will start again from 14 September. But due to continuous rains and bad weather, it had to be stopped again due to the security of the temple and the building.

Shrine board gave information on social media

The Shrine Board wrote on X, “Jai Mata Di! Due to continuous rains on the building and track, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra starting from September 14 has been postponed till further orders. The devotees are requested to be updated through official communication mediums of Jammu and Kashmir LG and PR.”

Jai Mata Di!
Due to Incessant Rain at Bhawan & The Track, Commencement of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra Scheduled From 14th Sept Stands Postponed Till Further Order.
,

Devotees’ troubles increased

This news is disappointing for the devotees, because many people had planned to see Vaishno Devi along with their family and friends. Some devotees are already in confusion due to the postponement of the yatra. The Shrine Board has requested the devotees not to wait for the official update and do not pay attention to the rumors.

Will start again according to the weather

The board said that as soon as the weather is clear and the route will be completely safe, the journey will be resumed. Shrine Board officials also informed that the necessary maintenance work on the route is going on continuously so that the safety of the devotees can be ensured.

The journey has been postponed earlier also

This is not the first time that Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra has been postponed due to weather or other reasons. Last year too, pilgrims had to face temporary restrictions due to heavy rains and snowfall. Officials say that the safety of passengers is paramount, so it is necessary to take such precautions.

Landslide has caused havoc in the Darfur region of western Sudan. More than 1,000 people died in this horrific accident. The accident occurred on 31 August in the Marra Mountains area, where it was receiving heavy rains for several days. Sudan Liberation Movement/Army confirmed the incident on Monday (2 September).

The organization said that in this horrific tragedy, the people of the entire village were killed and only one person survived. A large number of women and children are also included in the dead. The organization has appealed to the United Nations (UN) and International Relief Agencies to immediately send humanitarian aid and help to remove bodies. He says that relief and rescue operations are getting very difficult because the village is completely buried under the debris.

People struggling with war and hunger in Sudan

The people of Sudan are already facing the war of civil war. For the last two years, there is a fight between Sudani Army and Paramilitary Rapid Support Force (RSF). Many people have taken shelter in the Marra mountain area after saving their lives from this fight, but there is also a shortage of food and medicines here. Due to civil war, more than half of the country’s population is in danger of hunger. Now the new tragedy of landslides has increased their difficulties.

Earthquake devastation in Afghanistan, more than 800 killed

The horrific earthquake in Afghanistan late on Sunday night caused havoc. These shocks were felt in the southeastern part of the country. The earthquake was so powerful that many houses collapsed and people were buried in the rubble.

According to officials, more than 800 people have died so far, while hundreds of people are seriously injured. Relief and rescue work continues on a war footing, but the difficulties have increased due to poor conditions.

Earthquake in Afghanistan: Eastern Afghanistan caused a 6.0 magnitude earthquake, killing at least 812 people...

Earthquake in Afghanistan: Eastern Afghanistan caused a 6.0 magnitude earthquake, killing at least 812 people and injuring 2,817. Relief work is going on fast. This information has been given by government spokesperson Jabihullah Mujahid. According to the Taliban official, it is the deadliest earthquake of the last decade. The affected areas require immediate hospitals, shelters, food and clean water.

The intensity of the earthquake in Afghanistan measured 6.0 on the Richter scale. According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake center was 27 km away and at a depth of eight kilometers. The country is located on many seismic fault lines, causing more danger of earthquake and landslides to it.

India came forward to help

Foreign Minister of India Dr. S. Jaishankar today spoke to Afghan Foreign Minister Maulvi Aamir Khan Muttki and expressed his condolences on the loss of life in Afghanistan. Dr. Jaishankar told on social media that India has sent tents for a thousand families in Kabul today. He said that the Indian mission has brought 15 tonnes of relief material from Kabul to Kunar district. The minister also assured that more relief materials will be sent from India from tomorrow. Dr. Jaishankar prayed for the early recovery of the injured people and said that India stands with Afghanistan in this difficult time.

Relief work and challenges
Soon after the earthquake, the rescue team is engaged in relief work. Relief work is being interrupted due to closure and landslides in remote mountainous areas. The health centers and hospitals of the affected areas are under heavy pressure. Many people are not able to stay in their homes due to security concern and are forced to sleep in the open.

Joy Singhal of the International Red Cross and Red Crisant Society told Al Jazira that her teams immediately started relief work in the affected communities. However, many remote hills and low -populated areas have not yet been helped. The number of tents is also not enough and it is becoming difficult to reach the landslide area. Afghanistan has been sensitive to earthquakes in eastern and western parts. Last year, more than 1,000 people died in the earthquake in the western part. On 7 October 2023, there was a 6.3 magnitude earthquake in the country.

Normal life is being severely affected due to heavy rains in Uttarakhand. Traffic has been...

Normal life is being severely affected due to heavy rains in Uttarakhand. Traffic has been disrupted due to debris, boulder and landlords on the Yamunotri and Badrinath highways. The water level of the Yamuna river in the Sainachatti region increased so much that the water started flowing over the motor bridge, due to which the bridge has reached a condition of danger.

The rain water entered many hotels so much that it is coming from one side and leaving from the other side. The first floors of many hotels have been submerged, causing panic among the local people. Local residents Jaipal Singh Rawat, Navdeep Singh, Baldev Singh and Shailendra Singh Rana said that they spent the whole night, because the flow of water could harm at any time.

Road closed in many places due to debris

At present, the rain has stopped and the weather is clear, but the danger is still not averted. The road has been blocked due to heavy debris in Kamda area near Paganala, Bhanerpani, Nandprayag and Gauchar on the Badrinath highway. There are long queues of vehicles on both sides of the highway, and the pilgrims are waiting for the way to open.

The work of removing debris has been started by the administration and movement has started at some places, but debris is still stored on the hill side, which can shut down the route at any time. Pilgrims from Gujarat said that it took them 16 hours to cover the distance from Srinagar to Pipalkoti, as the Badrinath road is in a very dangerous situation.

Mountains are constantly craving

Apart from this, the highway is also completely closed in areas like Kamera and Simli-Gwaladam-Almora Highway near Gauchar, Nauli, Ming Gadera and Kaal Jabar. Due to continuous rains, mountains are cracking and big piles of debris have accumulated on the roads.

District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari said that the work of removing debris in all the affected areas and opening roads is going on a war footing. It is the effort of the administration that normal traffic was restored as soon as possible

Heavy losses in these areas

The weather in Uttarakhand is overshadowing the normal life. Mountainous districts like Tehri and Rudraprayag have caused widespread damage due to excess rainfall, while the Meteorological Department has warned that Uttarakhand is not going to get any relief from rain at the moment.

During the month of August, the continuous rains in the entire state have created a disaster -like situation in many areas. On August 30, in Dehradun, Uttarkashi and Bageshwar districts, there is a possibility of shining lightning with heavy to very heavy rains and roaring.

Orange alert issued in these districts

The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for these three districts. At the same time, Tehri Garhwal, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Pithoragarh and Pauri Garhwal district have predicted heavy rains somewhere.

Yellow alert will continue for the remaining 11 districts with Orange Alerts in Dehradun and Bageshwar on 31 August. On September 1, there will be orange alert in Dehradun, Pithoragarh, Nainital and Bageshwar districts, while Yellow alert will continue for the rest of the districts. Orange alert has been issued on September 2 in Chamoli, Bageshwar and Dehradun due to heavy rains.

Meteorological Department asked to be vigilant

According to the Meteorological Department, Yellow alert means to keep an eye on the rain and be cautious. Orange alert means to increase vigilance in view of the danger caused by rain and be prepared for necessary action. In the event of red alert, immediate security measures should be taken.

In the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of heavy and heavy rain in various areas of Bageshwar, Chamoli, Dehradun and Rudraprayag districts like Chakrata, Doiwala, Badrinath, Kedarnath, Sonprayag, Joshimath, Tharali, Kapkot, Vikasnagar.
