There is good news for the farmers of Bihar. The state government has approved a special scheme to increase agricultural income and protect fruit yield from pests. In the financial year 2025-26, the government will now give subsidy to farmers for spraying fruit trees under the “Pest Management Plan”. The aim of this scheme is to increase the earnings of farmers and improve production by protecting the crop from insects.

Which crops will benefit?

The scheme includes major fruits like mango, litchi, guava, banana and papaya. Pesticides recommended to deal with insects and diseases on these fruits will be sprayed, which will be fully done through the government -authorized service providers.

How much will you get subsidy?

Under this scheme, farmers will be given subsidy ranging from 50% to 75% on spraying, which will reduce their pockets and ensure safety of crops. Know how much subsidy will be available on different fruits.

Guava- 75% subsidy will be available at the rate of 33 per tree on first spraying and 45 per tree on the second. There will be benefits up to a maximum of 56 trees.

Banana and Papaya- subsidy of 50% or 2,150 per acre or 50% or 2,000 per acre will be given on spraying first.

Mango- 57 per tree on first spraying and 75% subsidy at the rate of 72 per tree on second spraying. A farmer will be able to take advantage of maximum 112 trees.

Lychee- Subsidy at the rate of 162 per tree on first spraying and 114 per tree on the second. Here a farmer can take advantage of 84 trees.

How to apply?

To avail this scheme, farmers will have to apply online on DBT Agricultural Portal. The process of application has been kept transparent and spraying work will be done according to the completely set standards.

Why is this plan special?

Farmers producing fruit in Bihar often suffer heavy losses due to pests and diseases. While this initiative of the government will reduce their cost, the quality and quantity of the produce will also be better. The special thing is that farmers will be able to spray only nominal amount without any personal expenses.

The clock which is eagerly waiting for crores of farmers of the country, is now just a few days away. The 20th installment can be transferred to the accounts of farmers in the third week of June under the popular scheme of the Central Government under the popular scheme of the Central Government. Although the official date has not been announced yet, according to media reports, this installment is likely to be released on 20 June 2025.

Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 6000 is given to eligible farmers every year in three installments, that is, an amount of 2000 rupees is sent directly to the bank accounts of the farmers every four months.

So far, the central government has benefited the farmers through 19 installments. The 20th installment will also be given to those farmers who have fulfilled the conditions like registration and e-KYC on time.

E-KYC is mandatory

The government has made it clear that no farmer without e-Kyc will get the next installment. Farmers can complete E-KYC through OTP or Biometric by visiting their nearest CSC Center or PMKISAN.Gov.in.

Land Verification

The installment of farmers whose land rights has not been verified may also be stuck. Farmers should complete this process by contacting the accountant or agriculture department of their area.

Why is the farmer ID and registration update important?

The government is now going to give a unique farmer ID to every farmer, so that they will not have to give documents repeatedly and the benefit of all the schemes will be available from the same identity card. It is very important to complete the registration and update process in time so that you can take advantage of the government’s subsidy, insurance and honor funds without interruption.

There is relief news for crores of farmers of the country. The 20th installment available under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana can be released soon. The 19th installment was sent in February 2025, and now it is expected that the next 20th installment will be transferred to farmers’ accounts in the last week of June or early July.

However, the government has not yet announced the exact date of the installment, but if you have not completed some important work, then this installment of 2000 rupees may not come to your account.

Must get e-kYC

E-KYC is mandatory under PM Kisan Yojana. If you have not completed this process yet, then your installment may get stuck. Recruitment of land is necessary

The government is now ensuring that only real and eligible farmers get the benefit of this scheme. For this, it is necessary to check the land of land. The farmer should meet his accountant or agriculture officer and get this work done soon. If there is any disturbance in the record of land, then get it correct in time.

An account should be active

To get the installment of PM Kisan Yojana, it is necessary that your bank account is in the current situation. If the account is closed, freeze or passive, the money will not be transferred. You go to your bank and make sure that the account is on and is connected to the Aadhaar card.

In this episode, the Bihar government has launched a special scheme to increase the income of farmers, flower (marigold) development scheme. According to the information given by the Directorate of Horticulture of the Government of Bihar, the cost of Rs 80,000 per hectare has been considered on the cultivation of marigold flower. On this, farmers will be given subsidy of 50% i.e. Rs 40,000 per hectare. The benefit of the scheme will be available on the basis of “first come, first serve”. This scheme is applicable in all 38 districts of the state.

Who can take advantage of the scheme?

The farmer must have land papers (LPC and receipt).
Those who do not have land, they can also apply through Akaranama.
A farmer can avail this scheme up to a minimum of 0.1 hectare and a maximum of 2 hectares.

The central government has given relief to the farmers and approved 100% purchase of pulses like tur (arhar), urad and lentils. Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan announced. He informed that this purchase will be done on the minimum support price (MSP) for the Kharif 2024-25 season. The purpose of this decision is to encourage farmers and reduce dependence on imports of pulses. This scheme will continue till the next four years i.e. 2028-29.

States approved for the purchase of tur

Shivraj Singh Chauhan informed that the purchase of 13.22 lakh metric tonnes has been approved in Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh. As of 25 March, 2.46 lakh metric tonnes have been purchased in Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Telangana, which has directly benefited 1,71,569 farmers.

Increased purchase deadline in Karnataka

For the convenience of farmers in Karnataka, the time limit of procurement was reduced from 90 days to 30 days, which has now been extended by 1 May 2025. Agencies like Nafed and NCCF are purchasing on MSP. At present, the price of tur in Uttar Pradesh is above MSP, so there was no need for government procurement there.

Purchase on MSP will not be available without registration

Shivraj Singh Chauhan has appealed to the farmers to register the e-prosperity of Nafed and the NCCF’s e-Release Portal as soon as possible, so that their crop can be sold at a reasonable price. He also appealed to the state governments to make the procurement process transparent and effective.

India is moving towards self -sufficiency in pulses

The government aims to achieve self -sufficiency in pulses. The scheme was also announced in Budget 2025, in which the entire purchase of tur, urad and lentils has been promised on MSP. Apart from this, gram, mustard and lentils will be procured under the PM-Asha scheme. Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat have been approved to procure mustard, while the purchase of skulls in Tamil Nadu has also been approved.

Farmers’ crops are not sold below MSP

Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that the priority of the government is to give fair price to the farmers. He appealed to the state governments for cooperation and said that the crops of farmers should not be sold below MSP, this is the commitment of the central government. State governments help in procurement and make the process easier. Farmers will get direct benefit from Nafed and NCCF portal.
