The Government of Andhra Pradesh has given land to Cognizant on 20 June 2025 in Visakhapatnam for just ₹ 0.99! Instead, the company will invest ₹ 1,582 crore in the next 8 years and will generate 8,000 new jobs. This step is part of a major strategy of strengthening Tier-2 cities, reducing investment expenses and is getting attracted to IT companies. Similarly, in April 2025, TCS was also given 21.16 acres of land in ₹ 0.99, with an investment of ₹ 1,370 crore and 12,000 jobs.
