<p style="text-align: justify;">The heavy rains in Maharashtra district Latur have spoiled the situation. On 16 September, 4 people, including a female employee of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), were swept away in a strong current in different incidents in flood waters between Patoda (Khurd) and Malhiparga areas. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The district administration immediately started the rescue operation, but till September 17, the search for all the missing persons was going on. According to the District Information Officer (DIO), Latur district has been receiving heavy rains for the last three days.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Complete information about the accident</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">On September 16, the accident occurred during the crossing of a water-filled road on a drain between Patoda (Khurd) and Malhipperga, in which 3 people, including a CRPF female personnel, were swept away by an auto-rickshaw. Officials said that the rescue team immediately reached the spot and campaigned, but the strong current was so fast that no clue of the people could be found.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Identification and rescue operation of missing people</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the government release, the missing people have been identified as CRPF employees Sangeeta Suryavanshi (32), Vaibhav Pundalik Gaikwad (24) and Vitthal Dhondiba Gawle (50). The search continued till late night and local administration is also helping with divers. According to PTI, the administration has issued a warning saying that people should not take the risk of crossing water -filled roads. At the same time, a team of NDRF has also been alerted as a precaution.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Second incident and administration appeal</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Meanwhile, in another incident, 28 -year -old Sudarshan Ghonshtte was swept away in the river Thiru. A separate rescue operation is being conducted for him. The district administration has appealed to the people to stay away from river, drains and water -filled roads during heavy rains. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Also, additional resources are being provided to local police and rescuers. These incidents have created an atmosphere of panic in the district and the administration has intensified security measures by staying on red alert.</p>
