Ladakh statehood: The demand for full state status in Ladakh has intensified. Demonstration is being done in Leh because people demand that the Union Territor be given special status and full state status under the sixth schedule. But today we are going to talk about what is the benefit after getting full state status. Let’s know

What does the status of full state mean

Actually, the status of the full state converts the Union Territory of Territory into a self -governing state. It has its own assembly, chief minister and government. In the Union Territory, where administrative powers are mainly near the Center, a state has full right to enact and enforce its laws on most of the subjects. But the state is under the central government on matters like defense, foreign affairs and currency. Just that state gets more politics and administrative independence.

How to give full state status

Article 3 of the Indian Constitution has the right to make Parliament a new state or change the states present. There are many stages in this process. First of all, this demand is raised by the local group or political party. After this, these demands are sent to the central government. The Center Cabinet reviews these requests and then sends it to the President. After this, a reorganization bill is introduced in Parliament and when both the Houses approve it, the status of the new state is implemented.

What will be the benefits of this

Due to being a state government, any state can make its laws and policies according to its social, cultural and geographical things. Along with this, decisions can be taken at the local level on issues like infrastructure, education and health care. Not only this, panchayats, municipalities and district bodies work under the state system. Also, the state can collect its tax and divide resources according to its need. Not only this, the people of the state are able to represent Parliament as well as their assembly and their voice is strong. After the formation of the full state, the dependency at the center decreases slightly.
