Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote a letter to the country on Diwali. He wrote that my best wishes to all of you on this holy festival of Diwali full of energy and enthusiasm. This is the second Diwali after the grand construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya. Lord Shri Ram teaches us to follow dignity and also teaches us to fight injustice. We also saw a live example of this during Operation Sindoor a few months ago.

He said that in Operation Sindoor, India followed decorum and also took revenge for injustice. This time’s Diwali is also special because for the first time, Diwali lamps will be lit in remote areas of many districts of the country. These are the districts where Naxalism and Maoist terrorism have been completely eradicated. In the past, we have seen how many people left the path of violence and joined the mainstream of development and expressed faith in the Constitution of the country. This is a big achievement for the country.

Thousands of crores of rupees are being saved from GST savings festival.

PM Modi further wrote that a few days before these historic achievements, Next Generation Reforms have also started in the country. Lower GST rates have come into effect on the first day of Navratri. Countrymen are saving thousands of crores of rupees in GST Bachat Utsav.

PM Modi told how India will develop

PM Modi said that in a world going through many crises, our India has emerged as a symbol of both stability and sensitivity. In the coming time, we are also going to become the third largest economy in the world. Therefore, it is important that we adopt Swadeshi and say with pride – This is Swadeshi.

The Prime Minister called upon the people to increase the spirit of Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat and respect every language. We should give priority to our health and reduce the amount of oil in food by 10 percent and adopt yoga. All these efforts will take us towards a developed India.

Young Mohammed Ahmed, a resident of Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, is stuck in Russia. Ahmed, who was sent to Russia on the pretext of a job in a construction company, is being forced to fight for Ukraine. Mohammad, who lives opposite Raj Bhavan, was sent to Russia by Adil, the owner of ‘Trust Consultancy’ in Mumbai, with the promise of a good job.

After reaching Russia on April 25, 2025, he was not given any work for a month. After this, he and 30 other people were forcibly taken to a remote area, where they were trained in using weapons. There are 6 other Indians also in this group.

26 people were sent to fight with the Ukrainian army
After training, 26 people were sent to the border to fight with the Ukrainian army. To save his life on the way, Mohammad jumped from the army vehicle, due to which he suffered a serious fracture in his right leg. In a statement, he said that about 17 people from his group have been killed in the war and they are either being asked to fight or are being threatened with death.

Regarding this matter, the victim’s family met AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday (October 16, 2025) at the party headquarters in Darussalam. Ahmed’s family including his wife have appealed to Owaisi to save their son from this hell.

Owaisi wrote a letter to the Indian Embassy
Taking immediate action, Owaisi has written a letter to the Indian Embassy in Moscow, in which he has demanded the immediate return of Ahmed. He has also written a letter to the Russian Ambassador asking him to ensure that Mohammed returns home safely.

What did the Indian Embassy say?
The Indian Embassy in Russia, responding to Owaisi’s e-mail, said that it has shared the details of Mohammed Ahmed with Russian authorities and requested the Russian Army to ensure his early release and safe return to India. The Indian Embassy is monitoring all cases of Indian nationals serving in the Russian Army on priority basis.

The case of suicide of Haryana ADGP Y Puran is now gaining momentum. While the opposition is attacking the ruling party regarding this matter, the politics of the state has also started heating up. Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi has expressed condolences by sending a letter to Puran Kumar’s wife Amneet P. Kumar.

Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi wrote in her letter on Friday (October 10, 2025) that Dear Amneet P. Kumar, the news of the tragic demise of your husband and senior IPS officer Y Puran Kumar is shocking and heart-wrenching.

Sonia Gandhi put the government in the dock

Sonia Gandhi further wrote in the letter that in this time of immense difficulty, my heartfelt condolences to you and the entire family. He further wrote that the death of Y Puran Kumar will continue to remind us that even today the prejudiced and biased attitude of the rulers deprives even the highest officials of the criteria of social justice. I and crores of countrymen are standing with you on this path of justice. At the end of the letter, Sonia Gandhi wrote that I wish that God grants you patience, courage and strength in this difficult situation.

Priyanka Gandhi targeted BJP

Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra wrote on social media that the entire country is shocked by the suicide of Haryana IPS officer Y Puran Kumar, who was troubled by caste harassment. The way injustice, atrocities and violence are going on against Dalits across the country is horrifying. Priyanka Gandhi said that first the murder of Hariom Valmiki ji in Rae Bareli, then the insult of the Chief Justice and now the suicide of a senior officer proves that BJP rule has become a curse for Dalits. He said that when this is the condition of Dalits holding high positions, then imagine under what conditions the common Dalit community would be living.

Former CM of Punjab raised questions

Regarding the suicide of IPS Puran Kumar, former Chief Minister of Punjab Charanjit Singh Channi said that this is the result of Manuwadi thinking of BJP and RSS. He was discriminated against and tortured so much that he had to commit suicide. We will fight until the family gets justice. Why is FIR not being registered against DGP Shatrujit Kapoor and Rohtak SP Narendra Bijaraniyan? The family is not getting justice in the suicide of an ADGP level officer.

Congress MP Deependra Hooda targeted

Congress MP Deependra Hooda said that the family is not satisfied with the action taken so far by the Haryana government and Chandigarh Police. The family should get justice. Raising the question, he said that what is the reason that till now FIR has not been registered against DGP Shatrujit Kapoor and Narendra Bijaraniyan.

In India, whenever a letter came, the whole house would gather to read it. As soon as they heard the postman’s whistle or the bicycle bell, children would run to see whose letter had come. At that time there were neither mobile phones, nor internet, nor WhatsApp. There was just a piece of paper which brought the status of a loved one sitting hundreds of kilometers away. At that time, Indian Postal Service was the only reliable medium which connected every corner of the country.

Due to this, National Post Day is celebrated every year on 10 October in India. This day is celebrated to honor the Indian Postal Service and its important role in connecting the country. This day was started by the East India Company on 10 October 1854, when the postal service was established for the first time in India. But over time, technology changed, and so did the way people communicated. Now the same services which were once a part of our lives have become history. So let us know which services of Indian Post have become history. Reading some of these names might bring back some childhood memories.

Which services of Indian Post have become history?

1. Telegram: Telegram was a service in which messages were sent in very few words, and those were very important or emergency messages. Usually it was used to convey marriage, death, birth or any big news immediately. When the telegram came, people’s heartbeats would speed up. But today this Indian Postal Service has become history.

2. Money Order: Money order was a service of the postal department through which money could be sent sitting at home. This was considered the safest way to send money to a person sitting in any city or village. Filling money order forms, standing in post office lines and then waiting was considered a big task earlier. But today this service has also become history and its place has been taken by online payments app.

3. Postcard: There was a time when a postcard was available for just 15 paise or 25 paise. People used to write their feelings on this small card. Festival wishes to relatives, letters to friends or notices from any office, everything was sent through postcards. The postcard was invented at the end of the 19th century. At that time the postcard was considered a revolutionary invention. The postcard era ended with the advent of the telephone and the Internet at the end of the 20th century.

4. Inland Letter: Inland letter was a blue colored letter. In this, several pages of content were written on a single paper. This was good for those people who had to write long letters, but had limited resources. Now email and mobile messages have ended this service.

5. Fax: Fax machines were used to send copies of documents and letters immediately. It was a common thing to go to the post office and get a document faxed. It was used a lot especially in government offices and companies. Now this service has almost disappeared because scanners and email have become better alternatives.

6. Telex: Telex was also a type of communication service that sent messages through a machine. This service used the telephone network and messages were sent by typing through special machines. After the advent of Internet and mobile technology, it has completely stopped.

7. Philately Passbook and Registered Post: Philately was once a hobby of children and youth. For this, the Postal Department used to provide a passbook in which beautiful stamps could be deposited. Today, in the digital age, this hobby is also gradually dying out. Whenever any important document or item had to be sent, registered post was used.

Pakistan’s delegation in Moscow: On Tuesday, a high -level delegation of Pakistan reached Moscow, the capital of Russia, amidst the ongoing tension with India. The delegation met Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and handed over a personal letter to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif to President Vladimir Putin.

The delegation was led by Syed Tariq Fatimi, Special Assistant of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Russia’s official news agency TASS confirmed the letter to the Pakistani Embassy. This tour has taken place at a time when security cooperation and political coordination between Russia and India is continuously increasing.

Information given to Lavrov on the situation in South Asia
During the meeting, the Pakistani delegation informed Russia about the situation in South Asia. Lavarov stated the need for direct communication for restoration of trust between the two countries. The Russian Foreign Ministry was quoted as saying that dialogue is the way to build confidence.

Desire to increase bilateral cooperation from Russia
Syed Tariq Fatimi also gave best wishes for Putin on behalf of PM Sharif and expressed the desire of Pakistan to increase bilateral cooperation in various fields like energy, transport, trade. The recent tension between India and Pakistan started on 7 May after the initiative terror attack. In response, India carried out a surgical strike at terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK). After this, Pakistan tried to attack the Indian military bases on 8, 9 and 10 May, but the Indian Army strongly responded to these efforts. On May 10, it was agreed to stop military actions after negotiations between DGMO (Director General of Military Operations) of the two countries.

Pak exercise to raise global support against India
Pakistan had announced last month that it would send teams of experts to many countries of the world to put its side of the four -day struggle with India in front of the international community. Moscow tour is considered part of this strategy.

Indian delegation’s visit to Russia also in discussion
It is also noteworthy that a few days ago an Indian parliamentary delegation led by DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi visited Russia. During this time, the delegates informed Russia about Pakistan sponsored terrorism and tried to raise international support.
