In this match, Baroda won by 37 runs, Amit Pasi was chosen the best player of the match. Pasi had scored 127 runs in 93 balls. Captain Krunal Pandya also played a century.

In this match played at Sansora Cricket Ground, Hyderabad captain Chama Milind won the toss and decided to bowl first. Baroda’s openers Nitya Pandya (122) and Amit Pasi (127) made a partnership of 230 runs for the first wicket. Nitya scored 122 runs in 110 balls with the help of 1 six and 12 fours. Amit Pasi scored 127 runs in 93 balls with the help of 7 sixes and 12 fours. After this, Baroda captain Krunal Pandya, who came at number three, also scored a century, he scored unbeaten 109 runs in 63 balls with the help of 1 six and 18 fours.

Batting first, Baroda scored a huge score of 417 runs for 4 wickets in 50 overs, in response to which the entire Hyderabad team was reduced to 380 runs. Although the 200-run partnership between Abhiratha Reddy and Pragray Reddy had definitely made the match for Hyderabad, but after the break of this pair, Hyderabad’s innings fell apart.

Abhiratha Reddy scored 130 runs in 90 balls with the help of 2 sixes and 18 fours. Pragray Reddy scored 113 runs in 98 balls, in which he hit 1 six and 11 fours. In this way, 2 batsmen scored centuries in Hyderabad’s innings and 3 batsmen scored centuries in Baroda’s innings. A total of 5 batsmen scored centuries in this match, due to which a new record was created in List A cricket.

Jagadishan was the first player to score 5 consecutive centuries in List-A cricket. Talking about Dhruv Shorey, he has been a part of Chennai Super Kings team in IPL.

It was the 2022-23 season of Vijay Hazare Trophy, when N Jagadeesan created history by scoring centuries in 5 consecutive matches. During this period, he also scored a historic inning of 277 runs, which is also the highest individual score made by a player in List-A cricket.

Kumar Sangakkara, Karun Nair, Devdutt Padikkal and Alviro Pietersen have achieved the feat of scoring 4 consecutive centuries in List-A cricket history. Among these, Sangakkara is the only cricketer who has scored a century in four consecutive matches in international cricket.

Vidarbha team is in Group B in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26, which is at fourth position in the points table after one win in 2 matches so far. In the match against Hyderabad, Vidarbha had scored 365 runs, in response to which the entire Hyderabad team was reduced to 276 runs.

Virat Kohli has made the record of scoring the best average among batsmen who have scored at least 5,000 runs in the history of List-A cricket. He has broken the record of Michael Bevan of Australia. Virat has scored 16,207 runs in 331 innings in List-A cricket at an average of 57.87. Whereas Michael Bevan had scored 15,103 runs at an average of 57.86.

Michael Bevan was considered one of the best finishers in the history of ODI cricket. Virat had scored 77 runs in 61 balls against Gujarat. In the first match of Vijay Hazare Trophy, Virat played an innings of 131 runs, which was the 58th century of his List-A career.

At the age of 37, Virat Kohli’s bat is showing no sign of stopping. In the last 6 List-A matches, Virat has scored 584 runs at an incredible average of 146. In these, only three centuries and three half-centuries have come from his bat.

2025 was good for Virat

Virat Kohli now plays only ODI matches. Talking about 50-over format, Virat was the batsman who scored the most ODI runs this year. This year he has scored 651 runs in 13 innings at a good average of 65.10. This year he has 3 centuries and four half-centuries in his name in ODI matches. Understand the real definition of List-A cricket, when 40-60 overs are bowled in each innings of a match, then it comes under List-A match. This means the formats of forty overs, fifty overs and 60 overs are called List-A cricket. These matches are usually played with white ball.

Vijay Hazare Trophy (India), Pakistan Cup (Pakistan), The Ford Trophy (Australia) are some of the popular List-A cricket tournaments in the world. One Day matches held at the international level i.e. ODI matches are also a form of List-A cricket, hence the statistics of ODI matches are also added to the List-A records. Domestic and non-international 40-60 over cricket matches are called List-A matches. Whereas ODI matches are played at the international level.

Sachin Tendulkar scored 21,999 runs in his List-A career, while Virat Kohli has so far scored 16,207 runs in List-A cricket.
