TV actress Deepika Kakkar is once again in the news regarding health. He was diagnosed with liver cancer in May 2025, after which he underwent a 14-hour long surgery. Now a small cyst has been found in his stomach. Her husband Shoaib Ibrahim gave this update to the fans in his YouTube vlog and told that a small procedure will be done on Deepika next Tuesday.

CT scan done after stomach ache
On February 21, Deepika went to the hospital because she was having stomach pain for the last two days. Shoaib told in the vlog that initially everything seemed fine but when the pain increased at night, he had to go to the doctor. The doctor had advised to get a CT scan done. A small cyst of about 1.3 cm was seen in the scan. The cyst is small but both of them were very nervous due to stomach and shoulder pain since last two days.

Reports are normal but fear still persists
Deepika told that according to the doctors, the pain on the left side is not due to the cyst. All other reports have come almost normal. AFP level is slightly increased but doctors have not termed it as a matter of great concern. However, this cyst was not found in the PET scan done in December, which is why both of them are a little worried now.

Treatment will be done through small procedure
Shoaib Ibrahim told that ever since the treatment of liver cancer, both of them always had the fear of the disease returning because their tumor was very aggressive. This time the doctor will not do major surgery but will do a small procedure and burn the cyst. Deepika will have to remain hospitalized for 3-4 days, after which this procedure will be done on Tuesday. Shoaib said that if the size is less than 2 cm then it can be treated like this, otherwise the matter could have become more serious.

Deepika became emotional and asked for prayers from fans
Deepika said that she was very scared in the morning but thankfully she came to know on time. He said that regular follow up is very important and even slight pain should not be ignored. Shoaib told that his treatment plan may change in future. Immunotherapy or some other treatment can be started in place of the oral chemotherapy that was going on. The couple appealed to the fans to pray and said that they also pray wholeheartedly for those who are fighting any serious illness.
