Goat Farming Subsidy: The government is continuously promoting animal husbandry to increase employment in rural areas and to make economically weak families self-reliant. In this promotion, Uttar Pradesh government has started a special scheme regarding goat rearing, under which people can start their own business at very low cost. The biggest feature of this scheme is that the beneficiary will have to invest only Rs 6000. Whereas the government will bear the remaining expenditure in the form of subsidy. You will get the complete unit for just Rs 6000

Under this scheme, the total cost of goat rearing unit has been fixed at around Rs 6000. In this, the beneficiary will have to deposit only 10 percent i.e. approximately Rs 6000. The remaining 90 percent amount will be given by the government as a grant. A total of 6 animals will be given in one minute, which will include one goat and five goats. The Animal Husbandry Department says that the beneficiaries will be motivated to rear good breed goats. So that they can get more benefits. Goats of Barbari, Beetle and Black Bengal breeds are considered better for rearing, because they grow quickly and also get good prices in the market.

Poor and unemployed people will get priority

The government has decided to give priority to economically weaker sections in this scheme. In this, marginal farmers, landless labourers, agricultural labourers, women and unemployed youth will be given first chance. Apart from this, reservation has also been kept for disabled people, so that they can also get involved in self-employment. Officials believe that people living in the village can earn extra income by doing goat rearing along with farming. This scheme is considered very beneficial especially for women, because they can easily handle this work while staying at home.

Government will provide training and full assistance

The Animal Husbandry Department will not only provide financial assistance but will also provide training in goat rearing to the beneficiaries. Experts say that there is a risk of loss if starting animal husbandry without proper information. But getting training will help people to understand the business and run it in a better way.

Goat rearing is considered a low-cost and fast-growing business in rural areas. Goats give birth to babies early, which increases the number of animals in a short time. Apart from this, there is constant demand for goat milk, meat and kids in the market. It can be started even in less land and less fodder.
