Lockie ferguson injury: Punjab Kings today compete with Kolkata Knight Riders. Prior to the match, there has been bad news for Shreyas Iyer & Team, the fast bowler in the team has been ruled out of the entire tournament due to the Locky Ferguson injury. He suffered a serious injury during the match against Hyderabad, after which he went out of the field.

Punjab Kings bowling coach James Hops said before the match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Mullanpur Stadium, “Lockie Ferguson has been out indefinitely and the possibility of bringing them back to the end of the tournament is very less. I think they have suffered a very serious injury.”

In the second ball of the sixth over against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Ferguson was hurt just below the left foot hip. Physio came and after taking advice from him, he left the ground in the middle of the over and did not come again. Hyderabad won this match by 8 wickets.

Punjab Kings bought Ferguson for Rs 2 crore in the auction. He is the second bowler to throw the fastest ball in IPL history, playing for the Gujarat Titans at a speed of 157.3 kmph. A few days ago, captain Shreyas Iyer also said that he is an important bowler for the team, as he always puts balls at a speed of 140 kmph.
