Police arrested a 15 -year -old boy and a 54 -year -old man on suspicion of arson on Friday (August 22, 2025) at an Indian restaurant in East London. A total of 5 people were injured in this fire, in which the condition of 2 people is critical. According to the Metropolitan police, there was a fire at night at the Indian Aroma Restaurant at Woodford Avenue, Gantts Hill, Ilford.

At the time of the fire, 3 women and 2 men were scorched while eating food in the restaurant and they were treated by paramedics before being taken to the hospital. Police said that the condition of two injured men and a woman remained critical.

At the same time, neighbors told that when there was a fire in the restaurant, they heard the screams of the people. In the CCTV footage received by the PA news agency, a group of masked people entering the restaurant, falling on the floor, falling on the floor, and the restaurant caught fire in a few seconds.

At the same time, the London Ambulance Service said, “We should send all the means of rescue to the scene, including the ambulance team, an advanced paramedical team and the officials who gave information about the incident.” He further said, ‘We treated five people burning and damage caused by smoke. We took two patients a large trauma center and three others to local hospitals.

Right now two other accused absconding

The police have arrested both the suspects on suspicion of setting arson with the intention of endangering their lives. Police believe that there are two more suspects who escaped before the police arrived and now they are being identified.
