LPG Cylinder Price Today on May 25: The prices of petrol and diesel in the country have been increased again today. Today the price per liter has been increased by Rs 2.71. Today, this is the fourth increase in rates in the last 10 days. Before this, on 15th May it was increased by about 3 rupees, then on 19th May it was increased by about 90 paise, on 23rd May again by about 90 paise and now on 25th May once again a big increase has been made. Meanwhile, LPG consumers are relieved as there was no change in LPG prices across the country even today. The rates remain stable at the previous level.

The price increased for the last time in March

Domestic cylinder prices were last increased by Rs 60 on March 7, 2026. There has been no increase in prices since then. This decision to keep domestic cooking gas prices stable has come at a time when global crude oil and LPG markets remain volatile amid fears of supply disruptions due to tensions in West Asia. International benchmark prices of liquefied petroleum gas have seen volatility in recent weeks amid concerns over shipping routes on the Strait of Hormuz.

Commercial sector hit

Meanwhile, the commercial sector has faced the biggest impact of rising prices as the price of 19-kg LPG cylinders was increased by more than Rs 900 on the first of May. However, prices have remained largely stable since then. According to reports, state-owned oil companies like Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum are themselves bearing some of the losses on domestic LPG sales due to the rise in global prices.

LPG Cylinder Price Today on May 24: Even today, amidst rising prices of petrol and diesel in the country, LPG prices remain stable. CNG prices were also increased yesterday on Saturday. Yesterday the rate of CNG was increased by Re 1 per kilogram in Delhi. LPG cylinder prices have remained stable in the country for a long time.

The prices of domestic cylinders were increased by Rs 60 in the month of March, after which the prices of domestic cylinders have remained stable across the country. At the same time, the price of 19 kg commercial cylinder was increased by the oil companies on May 1. During that time, there was a huge increase of Rs 993 in the rate.

Good news for domestic consumers

The good thing for domestic LPG consumers is that despite huge fluctuations in crude oil prices in the international market, the Indian government and oil companies have not allowed domestic cylinder prices to increase since March. Due to the ongoing crisis in West Asia, oil companies are currently incurring huge losses per cylinder on domestic LPG. Despite this, the government has not put the burden of this increasing expenditure on the pockets of the general public.

On top of this, the subsidy of Rs 300 per cylinder provided by the government to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) also continues. Due to this, poor families are getting relief up to 9 refills in a year without any additional financial pressure.

LPG Price Today on May 23: The prices of petrol and diesel have been increased once again today. Petrol has become costlier by 87 paise, while diesel has been increased by 91 paise. This is the third time this month that prices have been increased again.

However, there is still relief for consumers on the LPG front because today on May 23, 2026, there has been no change in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders and commercial gas cylinders in India. Their prices are stable today. However, the energy crisis and geopolitical tensions continue in the international markets. Another LPG tanker reached India

There is a relief news for India amidst the Middle East crisis and the war between America and Iran. Actually, another big LPG tanker MV SYMI which left from Qatar has safely reached Kandla Port in Gujarat.

Along with this, another giant Envy Sunshine with the flag of Vietnam has also reached New Mangalore Port carrying about 46000 metric tons of LPG. By the time these tankers reach India, the supply will be largely normal. However, oil companies are still buying gas at higher rates from the international market. To save the citizens, OMCs are currently bearing this loss themselves. In such a situation, there remains scope for increase in prices.
