The Meteorological Department has issued Yellow and Orange Alerts. There is a possibility of very heavy rains in Saharanpur, Shamli and Muzaffarnagar due to orange alert in western UP. While many districts of Purvanchal including Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Chandauli, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Jaunpur may receive slow to moderate rains. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain in Pratapgarh, Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Fatehpur. Whereas rain is also expected in Basti, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi in Terai. While rain is also expected in many districts of central and south region.
