Saamana alleged that the ‘Ladli Bahn’ scheme took place on a large scale. According to the editorial, crores of rupees were sent from the government treasury in about 30 lakh fake accounts across the state.

It was claimed that Fadnavis and his team misused government money to woo women voters in the name of the plan. A large number of men are also said to be among the beneficiaries associated with this scam.

Evidence of vote theft in assembly elections

Referring to the elections held in Panvel, Dharashiv and Shirur assembly constituencies in the editorial, it was said that the opposition candidates have handed over evidence of vote theft to the Election Commission, but the Commission did not show the courage to take action.

It states that the BJP claims that they got public public opinion, only “rhetoric”. Fadnavis is accused of using government schemes to remain in power and tried to give validity to this scam by tied Rakhi to women.
