During the discussion on Operation Sindoor in the ongoing monsoon session in Parliament, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi surrounded the Modi government. He accused the government of tying the hands of fighter jet pilots, for which Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has now targeted Rahul Gandhi.

The Union Minister posted on the social media platform X on Sunday (August 10, 2025) and said that there is also a limit to lying. Now only the people of India will tell Rahul Gandhi that it is enough now.

Kiren Rijiju said in a post on X on Saturday that I request Rahul Gandhi to maintain the dignity of the Parliament of India. Why do you keep lying all the time? I have seen many opposition leaders following parliamentary dignity. You have not only dropped your stature, but have also hurt India’s high reputation.

What did Rahul Gandhi say?

During the monsoon session, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, said in his speech on the Pahalgam terror attack on Tuesday (July 29, 2025) that the government tied the pilots after the Pahalgam terror attack, but in 1971, former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi gave the army open.

He said, “The Government of India has made a mistake. We have a fight with someone and we tell him that brother, we do not want to fight now. We have slapped you, another will not slap the other. The mistake was not of the army, not the government.”

Army Chief told Operation Sindoor’s Inside Story

Describing the inside story of Operation Sindoor, the head of the Indian Army, General Upendra Divedi, said that the government had given us an open exemption that we should respond to Pakistan’s first country terrorist attack as per our planning, according to our planning. IAF chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh had said that at least five fighters of Pakistan were killed during Operation Sindoor. Apart from this, an AWACS was also killed.
