Ragasa, the most powerful storm of this year, has shaken many countries including Hong Kong, Philippines. Hong Kong International Airport will remain closed for 36 hours from Tuesday 23 September to 25 September. Super Typhoon Ragasa is now moving towards the coastal areas of southern China. Due to this super storm, the possibility of strong winds, torrential rains and floods have increased.

There is a possibility of reaching the south of Hong Kong and Macau in Ragasa after the winds at a speed of 270 km per hour in the Philippines, causing thousands of people to vacate their homes. Due to this storm, waves can arise more than three meters (10 feet) in the Philippines, about which a warning has already been issued.

According to The Independent, the authorities have warned that there is a possibility of flood and landslide from Ragasa and houses may suffer heavy losses in the affected areas. The authorities have appealed to the local people to deposit emergency supply reserves, strengthen doors and windows and vacate underground areas to deal with any emergency situation.

All schools will be closed for the next two days
All schools in Hong Kong and Macau will remain closed for the next two days. More than normal sand sacks have been made available in flood -affected areas of Hong Kong, while the Macau police have asked people living in low -lying areas to be prepared for possible withdrawal.

Alert issued in many areas of China
Due to ragasa, there is also a possibility of torrential rains and strong winds in the coastal areas of China from Tuesday. Schools, offices, factories have been ordered to be closed in many cities such as Jiangmen, Yangjiang, Jhongshan and Jhuhai in Southern Guangdong province. According to China’s weather agency, this storm can knock more than once in Guangdong.
