A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in village Rampuri Dawajhir under Chand police station of Chhindwara, MP. Here a son brutally murdered his own father, keeping aside his love and dignity. The only reason for the murder was that the son was troubled by the physical uncleanliness done by his elderly father. The police showed promptness and arrested the accused son.

Is this the reason for murder?

According to the information received, deceased Shankar Inwati lived with his middle son Jaisingh Inwati. On December 29, at around 4 pm, when Shankar was sitting near Inwati Bari, accused Jaisingh reached there. He shouted and accused his father, “You keep troubling me by doing a lot of dirt.”

The dispute escalated over this matter and in a fit of rage, Jaisingh first slapped his father and then picked up a heavy stick lying nearby and attacked him fiercely. The accused is also said to be under the influence of alcohol.

Elderly Shankar fell there due to serious injuries on his head and other parts of the body. After this, the accused and his wife picked him up, took him inside the house and made him lie down on the ground. The old man died after suffering from unbearable pain for about an hour. The accused had covered the father’s body with a sheet to hide the evidence and fear being caught.

Disclosure on the complaint of the mother of the accused

At around 8 pm on 29th December, when the deceased’s wife Lachho Bai got information about the assault, she reached the spot along with her elder daughter-in-law Sonwati. On removing the bedsheet inside the house, she saw the bloody body of her husband. Middle daughter-in-law Sakarwati informed about the entire incident, after which Lachho Bai reached the police station and lodged a report.

DSP Lalit Bairagi said that on information the police team reached the spot, established a trail and registered a case due to suspicion of murder. This morning the dog squad and FSL team arrested the accused and the accused will be produced in the court on 31st December.

The accused was surrounded and caught

Seeing the seriousness of the matter, police station in-charge Trainee Deputy Superintendent of Police Lalit Bairagi immediately formed a team under the leadership of Superintendent of Police Ajay Pandey, Additional Superintendent of Police Ashish Khare and SDOP Chaurai Bharti Jat. The police activated the informer system and laid siege and arrested the accused Jaisingh Inwati near the pond behind his house. Police have also recovered the stick used in the murder.

In this successful operation, trainee DSP Lalit Bairagi, U PC Rathi, L.P. Gupta, constable Surendra Baghel, Vivek Baghel and Sandeep Baghel played a commendable role. Police have registered a case against the accused under Section 103(1) of BNS and arrested him. The accused will be presented in the court tomorrow.

The politics of changing the name has once again been hot in Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Minister of State for Health Narendra Shivaji Patel, while supporting the change of name of Hamidia Hospital, described former Nawab Hamidullah Khan as ‘traitor’.
