Amrita Fadnavis further said, “Divija and Deven hardly ever went on vacation. Last year we went to Mathura-Vrindavan only once because Divija insisted because she is a Krishna devotee. We went on vacation just for one and a half days. In 10 years, I do not remember that we ever went together.”

Maharashtra government gave Rs 2.25 crore

Before the civic elections in Maharashtra, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has given a big statement. He said that there is a favorable environment for BJP in the state. Fadnavis indicated BJP to contest alone elections in some places.

In the BJP’s idea churning program held in Wardha, Fadnavis said that elections will be held in the state soon. Elections of the Zilla Parishad will be held first, then the municipal and finally the municipal elections can be held. Where there will be no Mahauti, there should be coordination and friendly fights. But BJP will have to show undisputed domination in the elections of local Swarajya institutions.”

Devendra Fadnavis further said, “I request that there is compatibility for us in the state. The public is ready to vote for us. But there are small quarrels in many districts of BJP, these fights are between leaders and workers.

He warned, “It has been seen that many parties were over only due to mutual discord. One dropped the other and the party went into the trough. It should not happen in our party. If someone tries to take the party into the trough, the party will show it the way out. It should be kept in mind.”

Giving the example, Devendra Fadnavis said, “So far, there was a record of Shiv Sena in terms of blood donation, 25,000 units of blood in a day. But after the order of our state president on July 22, BJP workers collected 78,000 units in a day.

Now Hindi is not mandatory. If students want to read Hindi then we can read. If they want to read any other Indian language, then we are ready for it, but we should be ready for at least 20 students, we will have to make online arrangements.”

He also mentioned practical difficulties. He said, “If only two students say that they want to read Telugu, then where should we bring the teacher from? But then why did the question arise from class 3? Why not from class 6?”

Fadnavis said, “This is not an issue of prestige for us… but I am clearly saying that the Trishag policy will be applicable in Maharashtra. It will start from class 1 or later it will decide a committee. But we will implement it 100%.”

He also taunted him who is opposing it in the name of ideology. He said, “I have an objection to this mentality that lays a red carpet for English but rejects Indian languages. I will not tolerate opposition to Indian languages.”

Opponents celebrated victory
GR, which made Hindi mandatory, MNS and Uddhav Thackeray Gut had strongly opposed. He alleged that the BJP government wants to impose Hindi on Marathi speaking students. After the movement, the government withdrew the GR. After this, by taking out a Vijay rally in Mumbai, Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray showed solidarity and described it as ‘Marathi language victory’, but it has become clear from Fadnavis’s latest statement that the government has not back down with its original intention.

Two FIRs lodged
