Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray has demanded immediate help from the government for flood affected farmers in Maharashtra. He said that sugarcane producing farmers are being cut by Rs 5 per tonne and Rs 10 for the Chief Minister’s Assistance Fund i.e. Rs 15 per tonne. Thackeray clarified that there is a crisis of excess rainfall on the state and he himself visited the affected areas.

Thackeray said that the government is pretending to help by cutting the pockets of farmers. He said, “The Chief Minister is busy with the advertisement, one Deputy Chief Minister puts his photo on the packet and the other does not appear anywhere, while the farmers are in bad shape”. Uddhav Thackeray demanded that the flood -affected farmers should be given assistance of Rs 50,000 per hectare immediately.

Uddhav Thackeray also targeted BJP

Uddhav Thackeray asked whether the debt of the farmers would be forgiven only when they join the BJP. He said, “Sugar Baran has just gone to BJP, the government is filling their debt. So will the poor farmers also come to the BJP? Only then will their debt be called? Farmers’ land, Mangalasutra has to be pledged. The crops have to be ruined and the farmers are burdened with debt.”

Sakhar Sangh also expressed resentment

Thackeray said that “Sakhar Sangh” has also opposed this cut. The farmers are very distressed and are in the idea of ​​suicide. Thackeray said that he has a letter of 16 October 2020 of the then opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis, in which he had immediately declared Ola Dussal and demanded to help the farmers. He raised the question that when the opposition leader saw the pain of the farmers, why not the Chief Minister?

Farmers need immediate relief

Thackeray insisted that it should not be a game of words. Say “Bhiga Radakal” or something, but farmers should get immediate help. He said that houses should be built for farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and schools should be started immediately, because the crisis of diseases is increasing.

Thackeray said, “The Prime Minister gives free food grains to 80 crore people, but the same farmer who grows this grain, has become desolate today. In many places farmers’ land has been washed away, roads have been broken. The government should work immediately instead of dancing only paper horses.”

The day after tomorrow, we met the farmers with Sanjay Raut and party officials, where the farmers were crying together and were saying that as earlier the loan was waived, this time it should be done this time. The cultivated land has been uprooted, the stones have come up and it will take three to five years to re -prepare it. Despite this, farmers have got only seven-eight thousand rupees per hectare.

‘The declared help of Rs 14 crore did not reach the farmers’

The Shiv Sena (UBT) chief said that a son buried under the burden of debt has committed suicide, while the declared help of Rs 14 crore has not yet reached among the farmers. When the farmers questioned the police, the police was imposed behind them. ”Thackeray demanded that all the farmers be forgiven, like Punjab, farmers should get help in Maharashtra as well, Rs 50,000 per hectare should be declared and notices of banks should be stopped immediately. Just as Chinese factories are guaranteed, similarly farmers should be given.

The Prime Minister had ever raised the issue of the theft of Mangalasutra, so now why do farmers have to mortgage Mangalasutra? During the Kovid period, the Chief Minister’s Fund was made to the Kovid Center and the debt of the farmers was waived even in that difficult time. The Prime Minister had asked to play the plate, but we gave Shiv food for 5 rupees. ”

Thackeray raised questions on cricket match with Pakistan

Thackeray also questioned the cricket match from Pakistan. He said, “Sonam Wangchuk, who had made solar tents for the soldiers, was arrested, while Pakistan, who sent terrorists and killed the innocent, we are going to play the final match.” Thackeray appealed to the patriotic to boycott the match and also requested the sponsors not to participate in it.
