Major negligence of the administration has come to light in the voter list revision work (SIR) in Mahoba. The names of about 2300 villagers, including the head of Srinagar Gram Panchayat of Kabrai development block, have been missing from the voter list. The surprising thing is that even the name of the present head is not in the list. After complaining about this matter, the SDM has asked to fill the claim form and get the name added.

With the sound of three-tier Panchayat elections in Uttar Pradesh, the work of revising the voter list is going on at a fast pace. But in Mahoba district, such negligence of BLO and related employees has been exposed, which has raised questions on the entire election process.

Village head’s name removed from voter list

According to the information, the matter pertains to Srinagar Gram Panchayat of Kabrai development block. Where not one or two, but entire 2300 voters have been shown the way out of the list. The most shocking fact is that the current village head of Srinagar, Ashish Rajput himself has fallen prey to this negligence.

The names of Ashish Rajput as well as other members of his family and thousands of respected voters of the village are missing from the voter list. This major mistake made in a cursory manner has created a stir among the villagers. The distressed village head hastily reached the office of District Magistrate Ghazal Bhardwaj and pleaded for justice.

Voter list is being revised again – SDM

Taking cognizance of this serious matter, Mahoba SDM Shivdhyan Pandey said that the voter list is being amended under the instructions of the State Election Commission. Investigation is being done on the complaint given by Srinagar village head. The administration says that those whose names have been removed from the list should not panic. Voters can submit their claim by filling the relevant form between December 24 and December 30.

However, now the question arises that due to whose carelessness such a large number of names were deleted? At present, villagers and heads have started the process of filling forms to get back their democratic rights.

There was a furore in Kulpahar town in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh on Saturday evening when a 9 -year -old innocent died by drowning in a well. The whole family is in bad condition after the incident. This heartbreaking incident occurred when Honey reached near an old and deep well near the township.

According to eyewitnesses, Honey was trying to catch fish in the well, when his leg slipped and he fell into a deep well.

As soon as the information of the incident was received, there was a stir in Hatwara locality. The locals immediately gathered at the scene and tried to remove the child from the well. But due to the high depth of the well, they could not succeed. After this, the police and the fire brigade were informed. Rescue teams and divers reached the spot and started relief work. After about three hours of rescue operation, Honey was taken out of the well, but by then it was too late.

Child declared dead in hospital

Honey was taken to the Community Health Center in Kulpahar in critical condition. Dr. Mahesh Kumar, a doctor on duty there, declared him dead after investigation. Dr. Mahesh told that by the time the child was brought to the hospital, his breath had stopped. He died due to probably being immersed in water for a long time.

Family’s bad condition

Honey’s father Surendra Kushwaha told that Honey had left the house to play. When he did not return late, the family started his search. Neighbors told that Honey was last seen near the well, after which the family suspected untoward. After this sad incident, there is chaos in the family. Honey’s mother and father are in a weeping condition.

There is a terror of stray dogs in Mahoba District Hospital in UP. From patients to their timber and hospital staff are also upset. Last night, the dogs were seen playing with a blood bag inside the ward. After which many types of questions are being raised about the health services here.

Sometimes they play with medicines bottles, sometimes they run in the wards by pressing the syringes of polythene and empty injection in the mouth.

The condition is that dogs keep moving in the hospital premises fearlessly, their terror increases even more in the night time. From the patient to Timardar, the staff is worried and the staff looks helpless.

Climbing the beds of patients is now common for dogs. Pratappura resident Timardar Ganga Singh said that at least 5-6 dogs roam in wards at night. Many times they sleep on the bed of patients. Patients are afraid that they should not bite them. The sick person who has come for treatment, is facing the risk of more diseases from dogs.

Staff in the hospital is also limited and there is neither a guard nor home guard for security. Only a few staff are present here at night, who are taking responsibility of all the wards. The staff says that drunk people come and create a ruckus at night and the danger of dogs remains separate from above. The condition of cleanliness is also disturbed. Dirty bathrooms, smelly wards and now the terror of dogs, patients are being broken mentally and physically.

CMS Dr. P.K. Taking cognizance of the matter, Aggarwal said that notice will be issued to the careless employees. Also, a demand for deployment of guards has been demanded from the CMO and until the guards are found, a home guard will be put on duty at night.
