During the first phase of voting in Bihar assembly elections, Jan Shakti Janata Dal national president and candidate from Mahua assembly constituency Tej Pratap Yadav cast his vote at a polling booth in Patna. After casting his vote, he said that the people of Bihar must use their vote because every vote is important.

Tej Pratap said, “The blessings of parents hold a special place, and the blessings of the public have their own importance.” He said that in democracy the public is supreme and its decision has the real power.

Tej Pratap Yadav further said, “No matter whose government it is, which will provide employment to the common man, stop migration, bring change in Bihar, we will be with it. The public is the master, it is the public that makes and spoils things.”

He said that his aim is not just to do politics, but to bring forward the voice of the people. Tej Pratap said that Bihar now needs a government which provides work to the youth, cares about the farmers and gives priority to education and health.

Lohia and Karpoori Thakur’s legacy for us – Tej Pratap

In his statement, Tej Pratap said, “The legacy is of Lohia ji and Karpoori Thakur. Our ideology is of social justice, complete change and complete revolution.” He said that he is contesting the elections to carry forward this thinking.

‘The public will decide whether he will become the Chief Minister or not’

Regarding the post of Chief Minister, Tej Pratap said smilingly, “Just like our father used to say that if we get a chance to become the Prime Minister then why would we leave, similarly if we get a chance to become the Chief Minister then why would we leave.”

He further said, “Whether it will be made or not, it will be decided on the 14th, but we are not so greedy that we have to sit on the chair. Our aim is to serve the public.”

The troubles of Tej Pratap Yadav, elder son of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad and president of Janashakti Janata Dal, have increased. A case of violation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) has been registered against Tej Pratap while filing nomination papers from Mahua assembly seat in Vaishali district of Bihar. Police gave this information on Sunday.

According to a statement issued by the district police, a video went viral on social media in which Yadav was seen using an SUV with police logo and blue-red beacon during the nomination procession on October 16. After this, the area officer of Mahua lodged a complaint in the concerned police station. It said that a thorough investigation was conducted and it was found that the police logo and blue-red light on the vehicle were private. Therefore, a case of violation of the election code of conduct was registered.

What was the whole matter?

Jan Shakti Dal leader Tej Pratap Yadav had reached Vaishali to file his nomination on 16 October. A large number of his supporters and workers were also with him. During nomination, a vehicle in his convoy had blue lights and police logo. Whose video is going viral. This was considered a violation of the code of conduct.

Police filed a case against the car owner

DSP 1 Raj Kumar Shah said that a video of a vehicle with police logo and lights at the rally of Jan Shakti Janata Dal leader and former minister Tej Pratap Yadav had gone viral. This car used in the election campaign turned out to be the personal car of Siddhanath Singh’s son Pramod Kumar Yadav. Installing police beacon on a private vehicle is a serious and cognizable offence. In Bhojpur district, a case has been registered against the vehicle owner and driver under relevant sections and the vehicle has been confiscated.
