With the campaigning in Bihar Assembly elections, the rhetoric of the leaders has also intensified. In which Janashakti Janata Dal leader Tej Pratap Yadav is not lagging behind at all. On the question of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav coming to campaign in Bihar, he said that whether Akhilesh Yadav comes or someone else comes, I am a brand in my place. Now his statement is viral on social media. Along with this, former minister Tej Pratap Yadav, while speaking on the future alliance, said that the situation will be decided only after November 14.

Former minister Tej Pratap Yadav has been RJD MLA from Mahua, but after six years of expulsion from the party, he is now contesting the elections by forming Janashakti Janata Dal. While talking to journalists, when questions were raised on the list of star campaigners, Tej Pratap laughingly said that I myself am a star campaigner. On coming to Akhilesh Yadav’s election campaign, he said that whether Akhilesh Yadav comes or someone else comes, I am a brand at my place.

Tej Pratap Yadav appealed to the people to support him again like in 2015. I had got approval for the hospital, ambulance and medical college here. Now complete change has to be brought about. He said JJD’s election symbol is ‘Blackboard’, which reflects the focus on education and youth development. At the time of nomination, he had made an emotional appeal by carrying the photo of his grandmother Marchiya Devi.

Voting will be held in two phases in Bihar

Assembly elections in Bihar will be held in two phases on 6th and 11th November, while the counting of votes will take place on 14th November. Tej Pratap Yadav is raising the alarm of rebellion this time. He is the elder son of Lalu Prasad Yadav. Recently, after his photo went viral, the party had expelled him for six years.

There has been no consensus regarding seat sharing within the Grand Alliance in Bihar. After analyzing the list of candidates, it has become clear that there will be direct contest on 11 seats within the alliance. This situation is exposing the lack of coordination and internal differences among the opposition parties. Just two weeks before the first phase of elections, this disagreement has become a new point of attack for NDA and Chirag Paswan.

There will be a direct fight between RJD and Congress on 6 seats, while there will be a direct fight between CPI and Congress on 4 seats. At the same time, there will be a contest between Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) and RJD on one seat, Chainpur.

On Monday, RJD released the list of its 143 candidates. This list also includes those 6 seats where Congress has already declared its candidates. These seats are- Vaishali, Sikandra, Kahalgaon, Sultanganj, Narkatiaganj and Versaliganj. Now all eyes are on October 23, which is the last date for withdrawal of nominations for the second phase. By then the picture will be clear whether there is any agreement in the opposition camp or not.

Shahnawaz Hussain targeted the Grand Alliance

BJP national spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, targeting the ‘Grand Alliance’, said that RJD has released its list of candidates, from which it has become clear that no norms have been followed in the ticket distribution.

He said, “The grand alliance has completely become a victim of the ‘great split’. Looking at the RJD list, it is clear that they have ignored their own workers and have distributed tickets to anyone. There is no candidate in this list who can win.”

#WATCH Delhi: On ‘Mahagathbandhan,’ BJP national spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain says, “RJD has released its list… This makes it clear that RJD has not followed any criteria in ticket distribution. ‘Mahagathbandhan Puri has become a victim of Mahaphoot,’ and their list… pic.twitter.com/scvrs4PRpM

— ANI (@ANI) October 21, 2025

Political experts say that these circumstances have raised questions on the unity and coordination of the opposition. Despite long-running meetings and secret discussions, the Grand Alliance has not yet been able to formally declare the seat distribution. At the same time, another interesting contest will be seen on Mahua seat. Here RJD has made Mukesh Roshan its candidate, who will contest against Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav. Tej Pratap was expelled from RJD earlier this year, after which he formed his new party Janashakti Janata Dal. This family dispute is now adding a new twist to the politics of Bihar.

Political analysts believe that such internal contests can lead to division of opposition votes, due to which the BJP-led NDA can gain advantage on many seats.

What did Chirag Paswan say about the grand alliance?

LJP (Ram Vilas) President Chirag Paswan also targeted the Grand Alliance on Monday. He said, “I have never seen such an election in which such a big alliance is on the verge of breaking. It is one thing to have differences of opinion on the selection of seats, but here there is no consensus on the number of seats itself.”

Chirag Paswan’s party is contesting elections on 29 seats this time. Taking a dig at the state of the grand alliance, he said that this “friendly fight” going on within the opposition is actually proving to be a walkover for the NDA. Chirag Paswan said, “There is nothing that can be called a friendly competition. Either you are a friend or a rival. If you are fielding candidates against each other and targeting leaders, then it will definitely affect the remaining seats.”

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has released the list of its candidates for Bihar Assembly elections 2025. The party has announced its candidates for a total of 143 seats. In this list released under the leadership of Tejashwi Yadav, priority has been given to youth, women and minority groups. RJD has made Mukesh Roshan its candidate from Mahua who will contest against Tej Pratap Yadav.

However, one name in the RJD list is making a lot of headlines, that name is Mala Pushpam, who has been given ticket by RJD from Hasanpur assembly constituency located in Samastipur district. Let us tell you that this is the same seat from where Lalu Yadav’s elder son and former Health Minister Tej Pratap Yadav had won the last election. This time RJD has given tickets to 18 minority candidates and 24 women candidates. The party has described it as a symbol of social harmony and representation. Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav will once again contest elections from Raghopur seat, which is considered his traditional stronghold.

Who got the chance from where?

RJD has made former Union Minister Jai Prakash Yadav its candidate from Jhajha. At the same time, six-time MLA Lalit Yadav has got the ticket from Darbhanga Rural. Bhola Yadav, who is considered very close to Lalu Prasad Yadav, will contest from Bahadurpur seat. Former Assembly Speaker Awadh Bihari Chaudhary will be the RJD candidate from Siwan. Osama Shahab, son of late Bahubali Shahabuddin, has got the ticket from Raghunathpur seat, which has become a topic of discussion. Apart from this, Bhojpuri superstar Khesari Lal Yadav has been made the candidate from Chapra, making the election contest there very interesting.

Mukesh Roshan will contest elections from Mahua seat

Party’s chief spokesperson Shakti Yadav has got the ticket from Hilsa seat. At the same time, Alok Mehta has been made the candidate from Ujiarpur. Mukesh Roshan has been declared a candidate from Mahua seat, where he is likely to face Tej Pratap Yadav.

RJD gave place to families of powerful leaders

RJD has also given place to the families of powerful leaders. Kaushal Yadav from Nawada, Veena Devi, wife of Suraj Bhan Singh from Mokama and Reet Lal Yadav from Danapur have been given tickets. While sharing the list of candidates on social media platform ‘X’, RJD congratulated all the candidates and extended best wishes for victory. He said that this election will be the election of new direction and expectations of Bihar.

In Bihar politics, Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son and former minister Tej Pratap Yadav, who has always been in the discussion with his statements, has given a clarification on the ‘I Love Mohammed’ controversy recently. Tej Pratap clearly said that I have a copy of Quran Sharif. I respect the Prophet very much. Those who are creating controversy are only spoiling the atmosphere.

Tej Pratap Yadav tried to convey the message of religious harmony through his statement. Apart from this, his thinking has always been equal respect for all religions.

Tejashwi should follow dignity- Tej Pratap

Tej Pratap also spoke openly on his relationship with his younger brother and RJD supremo Tejashwi Yadav. He said that Tejashwi should give him the same respect, as Lord Rama got from Laxman. Tej Pratap said that as a younger brother, Tejashwi should follow the dignity and he should not be misled by the wrong people. Targeting some colleagues, he called him ‘Jaichand’.

Tej Pratap will contest elections from Mahua

Tej Pratap also made it clear that he will contest from Mahua seat in the upcoming assembly elections. This is the same seat from where he started his political career in the year 2015. Mahua assembly constituency is adjacent to the Raghopur seat of Tejashwi Yadav, in such a situation, everyone will be eyeing the political strategy of both brothers.

Tej Pratap attacked RSS

On the question asked about the centenary celebrations of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Tej Pratap said that the RSS had no role in the freedom movement. He described himself as a follower of Mahatma Gandhi and said that he wants to do politics on Gandhi’s principles.
