Earlier its last date was fixed as 18 November 2025, but considering the problems of lakhs of women, the government has extended this date to 31 December 2025. Why has the government made e-KYC mandatory?

The government wants that the money from the scheme should reach the right and eligible women. Many complaints were received in the last months. For example, two applications were made in the same name, wrong information was filled in the bank accounts, fake entries were found at some places. That is why it has been made necessary to confirm identity through Aadhaar. The government has clearly said that now money will not come into the account of any woman without doing e-KYC.

The rules of the scheme clearly say that the next installment will not come for those women whose e-KYC is incomplete. The system will automatically put those beneficiaries in Pending or Inactive. Therefore, it is very important to get e-KYC done before 31st December.

1 lakh 25 thousand women of Marathwada in Maharashtra have been recommended to stop the benefit of ‘Ladki Bahin Yojana’. In eight districts of Marathwada, the application of 1 lakh 33 thousand dear sisters above 65 years has been examined. Also, 4 lakh 9 thousand 72 applications with two or more beneficiaries have also been investigated in the same house.

In this, despite being over 65 years of age, it has been recommended to hold 40 thousand 228 women ineligible taking advantage of the scheme. At the same time, two or more women in the same family have taken advantage of 84 thousand 709 ladki sisters, the government has been informed to the government.

Here many women above 65 years have taken advantage of the scheme by making fake documents. Some women have not got the benefit of the scheme for two or three months and they have been given the reasons.

Big disclosure made in all

In fact, recently a survey was conducted by the government from Anganwadi workers. He was given two works. Some women above 65 years are taking advantage of the scheme, gathering information about it. And if two or more women are taking advantage in the same house, then survey it too.

Investigation for one and a half months

The ration card was considered proof to identify more than two beneficiaries. It was investigated. For about one and a half months, Anganwadi workers conducted this survey and after that the data was handed over to the government. It was revealed that 40 thousand women above 65 years of age in eight districts of Marathwada took advantage of the scheme by showing their age less than 65 years.

80 thousand women living in the same house are taking benefits

At the same time, more than 80 thousand cases of taking advantage of two or more women in the same house came out. Overall, the government has recommended to stop the benefits of the scheme of about 1 lakh 25 thousand dear sisters of Marathwada. The data of each one has been deposited.

50 percent women ineligible

These women will continue to get 1500 rupees

Women who are not taking any benefit through the Namo Shetkari scheme of the Maharashtra government or any other scheme. Those women will continue to get Rs 1500 every month as before. According to the data released under October 2024, a total of 2.60 lakh crore women in the state were eligible to take advantage through the girl sister scheme. But after the formation of the Mahayuti government again, the eligibility of the beneficiary women taking advantage of the scheme was reviewed and according to the criteria, the names of many women were reduced by the scheme. Now only 2.42 crore women are left in the list.
