India First Malaria Vaccine: India has achieved another major achievement in the health sector. The country, which has been struggling with a deadly disease like malaria for a long time, has now found a cure for it. India has first prepared a vaccine of malaria itself, which is named Adfalcivax. This vaccine is especially designed to prevent Plasmodium Falciparum, the most dangerous form of malaria.

This is also a historical step in India because now the country has become self -sufficient against malaria and can show the way to the world in this direction. This new vaccine will not only prevent diseases, but the mission of making India malaria -free will also accelerate. So let’s know how effective this malaria vaccine is.

How effective malaria vaccine?

Edfalciax is a vaccine that scientists have specially designed in such a way that it stops the parasite of malaria before reaching the blood in the body. This means that this vaccine saves the body at a time when the disease has not started spreading, another big advantage is that this vaccine also prevents malaria infection from spreading from one person to another. In this way, it not only treats, but also breaks the chain of the disease.

Who is making this vaccine?

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has licensed this vaccine to 5 Indian companies of the country. These companies are Indian Immunologicals Limited, Techness Lifecare Private Limited, Panesia Biotech Limited, Biological E Limited and Zidas LifeSians. Now these companies will produce this vaccine on a large scale of vaccine and after the trial on humans it will be made available across the country. Edfalciax vaccine is very important because it stops the dangerous parasites of malaria before it spreads to the body. Doctors and scientists hope that after its trial on humans, when this vaccine will be largely, India can be made malaria free before 2030.

Delhi has seen a tremendous increase in malaria cases this year. A total of 264 malaria cases were registered in the capital till 6 September, which is the highest figure from January to September in the last five years. Last year, 237 cases were registered during the same season, while 138 cases were registered in 2023, 34 in 2022 and 37 cases were registered in 2021. In the last five years, compared to total malaria cases, 792 cases have been registered in 2024, 426 in 2023, 263 in 2022 and 167 in 2021. There were only two deaths in these years in one 2022 and one in 2023.

Due to increase in malaria cases

According to senior MCD officials, a major reason for increasing the case this year is more testing and monitoring. Earlier there was only blood slide test and there was no facility to test many hospitals, dispensaries and labs. Now widely testing is being done through rapid diagnostic kits. However, all matters cannot be considered as local malaria in Delhi. There are some migratory cases, that is, when people from the surrounding areas come to hospitals in Delhi or someone comes to a relative in Delhi and becomes infected, then its cases are added to the figures of Delhi. A total of 54 migratory cases were registered in Delhi this year.

Malaria again

Some patients do not complete the medicine, due to which malaria can be re -resurrected. When the patients do not take full medicine, the symptoms disappear but the parasites live in the body and can grow again. In addition, a mosquito can cut the infected person and spread malaria in others. According to Dr. Jugal Kishore, Vardhman Medical College and former chief, Community Medical Department, Safdarjung Hospital, many times local doctors prescribe medicines without correct diagnosis. The drugs used in the treatment of malaria should be taken for 15 days, chlorocwin and pimchalin, but often it does not happen.

Why are mosquitoes growing?

Open drains, congestion and dirt create an ideal atmosphere for mosquitoes. MCD says that there is no shortage of staff anymore and transfer has been stopped so that after the monsoon, there can be adequate monitoring at the time of spreading malaria.

Rescue and treatment

Malaria specialist Dr. J.M. According to Dua, malaria is caused by plasmodium parasites, which spreads from the bite of anophyllis mosquitoes. Symptoms of malaria appear 9–14 days after mosquito bites and may include high fever, headache, chills, vomiting and fainting in severe cases. People are advised to go to the nearest health center and take the medicine. Destroy mosquito breeding sites, keep closed with tanks, drums and utensils and maintain cleanliness.

The Central Government has prepared the National Strategic Plan: Malaria Elimination 2023-27, which aims to completely eliminate zero local malaria cases by 2027 and malaria by 2030. The scheme includes district -wise scheme, surveillance and treatment measures.

India has taken a big step to fight against deadly disease like malaria. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has created a new malaria vaccine in collaboration with the National Institute of Immune (DBT-NII), the National Institute of Immune (DBT-NII), the Department of Medical Research (ICMR) of India (RMRCB) and the National Institute of Malaria Research (NIMR). It is named Adfalcivax. This is the first such vaccine in India to target Plasmodium Phalsiparm, the most dangerous parasitic parasit of malaria at two different levels. Its specialty is that it will not only protect humans from malaria, but will also prevent its spread through mosquitoes.

What is Adfalcivax?

Adfalcivax is a special type of vaccine, which attacks two important stages of malaria parasites. In the first stage, when the parasitic spread infection in the human body and the second stage when this disease through mosquitoes reaches from one person to another. This means that this vaccine will not only save you from getting sick, but will also prevent malaria from spreading in the entire area. This vaccine has proved effective in the initial Tests conducted on animals. Scientists believe that it can be better in many cases with existing vaccines such as RTS, S/AS01 and R21/Matrix-M.

Vaccine made from this bacteria

In making this vaccine, safe bacteria called ‘Lactococcus lactis’ were used, which is already known in the vaccine development. In this, a strong vaccine has been made by combining effective elements against two different stages. This vaccine does not spoil up to 9 months at room temperature, which makes it very useful for areas where there is a lack of electricity or cold space. Also, it is made of cheap and safe substances, which is also economical.

Why is this vaccine special?

The biggest feature of Adfalcivax is that it kills malaria parasites on two fronts. Usually the rest of the vaccines target only one stage, but it works on both stages. This not only reduces the risk of malaria for a person, but also stops the spread of the disease through mosquitoes. Also, this vaccine also reduces the parasite’s attempt to dodge the body’s immunity and gives prolonged protection. It is made from cheap substances like alum, so that it can reach more and more people.

What is the plan ahead?

Adfalcivax is currently in the initial development stage. It will take time to reach the common people. According to ICMR, the plan of development and testing of vaccine is like this.

Monsoon brings relief for people struggling with heat. The faces blossom with a drop of relief from the sky. But during this time many diseases also knock. Along with consulting with the doctor, a pathology test has to be done to diagnose the disease. Negligence may be heavy in this. Let us know how to avoid these diseases that grow in the monsoon season…

Takes typhoid in grip

During the rainy season, typhoid cases start coming up. This problem is caused by contaminated and water. Its symptoms show symptoms of persistent high fever, feeling weakness, abdominal pain and loss of appetite. This disease can be detected by examining this blood.

Risk of malaria

This disease is caused by mosquitoes. In the rain, water collects around the house. Malaria mosquitoes thrive in it. In case of malaria, high fever, chills, shivering, excessive sweating and serious anemia can be seen. Cerebral malaria can occur if negligent, which is a dangerous situation. It can also cause seizures, kidney failure, jaundice and respiratory diseases. Doctors conduct blood tests to detect this disease.

Dengue risk

This disease is at risk of spreading the most excesses in the rain. According to a report, every year thousands of people in India lose their lives due to this disease. In the year 2021, more than one lakh cases of dengue were reported. Actually, female Aedes mosquito thrives when rain water is accumulated. Dengue is caused by this mosquito bite. This mosquito usually bites day time or before the sun sets. Body pain with high fever is common symptoms of dengue. Apart from this, symptoms like sweating, headache, eye pain, nausea, vomiting, weakness, light bleeding and low blood pressure can also be seen during dengue. Negligence in dengue can be dangerous. When the platelets count is reduced, bleeding can lead to organ failure.

Joint pain means chikungunia

Chikungunya is also a disease caused by mosquitoes, which thrive in stagnant water. Chikungunya Tiger Aedes is spread due to albopictus mosquito. Its symptoms are seen 3 to 7 days after the bite of mosquito infected on the commoner. It has severe pain in the body and joints with fever.

Influenza also upset

In the changing masmas, the cases of influenza also increase. This infection is a rapid spread. Symptoms such as fever, muscle pain, sore throat, nose closure, dry and persistent cough are seen.

Stomach can get up

Negligence in hygiene can cause stomach infection in the rainy season. This can cause diarrhea with feeling stomach cramps. There is a risk of lack of water in the body from Dr. Yaria.

In this way rescue

Take care of hygiene

Wash hands at regular intervals during the day

Avoid eating out

Drink water by boiling or filtering

Prevent rain water from gathering around the house

Malaria vs dengue: Today is Malaria Day on 25 April. The aim of this day is to aware of people about malaria and take necessary steps to eliminate it. Malaria is a major problem in India. Every year a large number of people are vulnerable to it. This disease spread by mosquitoes spreads more in summer, especially when it rains.

Similarly, there are symptoms of dengue. Therefore, most people are confused about malaria and dengue. Like malaria, dengue also spreads through mosquitoes, but there is a big difference. Let’s know who is more dangerous in malaria and dengue …

How to spread malaria

Malaria disease anopheles spreads by mosquito bites. When a mosquito infected with malaria bites a human being, a parasite called plasmodium goes into his body. This parasite goes into the blood and damages red blood cells and problems like fever, weakness start.

1. Malaria is spread by mosquitoes called anopheles and dengue Aedes Aegypti.

2. Mosquitoes of malaria bite at night and dengue mosquitoes during the day.

3. Malaria has frequent high fever, cold problem, while dengue breaks bone fever, pain behind the eyes, body rashes and platelets are reduced.

4. Malaria is detected by blood slide or malaria rapid test, while dengue NS1 antigens showed platelet count.

5. Malaria medicines are present but there is no special treatment for dengue, only on the basis of symptoms.

How to avoid malaria

Use mosquito -killing sprays and creams.

As soon as evening, close the windows and doors or get a fake.

From time to time, go to the government camp and get an inquiry done.

Why World Malaria Day is celebrated

Dengue vs Malaria vs Typhoid Weakness : As soon as the summer and rainy season arrives, the outbreak of dengue, malaria and typhoid increases. Their cases start coming more in hospitals. These three diseases may look the same in appearance, but the effect of every disease is different on the body. Especially when it comes to weakness, it becomes important to understand that in which disease the body becomes the weakest and how much time it takes for recovery. Let us know who breaks and makes the body the most weak among these three buckets.

Aedes Aegypti is a viral fever spread by mosquito bites. Its biggest impact is a decline in platelets. When platelets fall, the body’s strength is also taken away. In this, there is a sudden high fever in the body, pain in the muscles and joints and the body is completely tired. Due to falling platelets in dengue, the blood becomes thin and the body feels very tired. Recovery can also last for 2 to 4 weeks.
