In view of the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal, a period of political rhetoric continues. BJP and TMC are attacking each other regarding the elections to be held in the state. In such a situation, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has compared BJP with a poisonous snake. He has said that trusting BJP is like trusting poisonous snakes. Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has given this statement in a public meeting organized in Habra.

Names of lakhs of real voters deleted from SIR: Banerjee

Banerjee said that they are just waiting for the right opportunity to attack Bengal. In this cheap SIR campaign, they have deleted the names of lakhs of real voters without any discrimination. Even the names of saints associated with charitable spiritual organizations have been brutally removed from the voter list. These people have so shamelessly ignored the real voters of Bengal. The public should completely reject him in this election. There should be no mercy of any kind. There should be no second chance.

Apart from this, he said in the public meeting that this election is about protecting the basic spirit of identity, language, rights and democracy in Bengal. During this, he said that the Maa-Mati-Manush government will continue to fulfill the needs and aspirations of the people. Also said that everyone has to remain united against those forces who are trying to divide the society and spread unrest.

General elections to be held in West Bengal in two phases
In the year 2026, assembly elections in West Bengal will be held in two phases on 23 and 29 April. In this, votes will be cast on 294 seats of West Bengal Assembly. Election results will be declared on 4 May. At present the code of conduct is in force in Bengal, where TMC is in power.
