Who is Manoj Jaran?

Manoj Jarange Patil was born on 1 August 1982 in Matori village of Beed district. His family later settled in Shahagarh. Jarange comes from the Maratha caste. Jarang is survived by his wife Sumitra, three daughters and a son. He is the youngest of four brothers and lives with parents. Despite being associated with the farmer family, he completely dedicated himself to social movements.

The Bombay High Court in Maharashtra has clarified that Manoj Jarage Patil cannot be allowed to agitate in Mumbai without prior permission in view of maintaining law and order in the city during Ganeshotsav. The High Court also said that the state government can decide to give Jarage Patil an alternative place in Kharghar area of ​​Navi Mumbai to ensure that Mumbai’s routine is not interrupted. The court also clarified that it can be demonstrated peacefully only after receiving reflection for the movement.

The High Court has given exemption to the agitators that they can apply for permission from the administration. After this, the state government has the right to take a decision according to the sections of the law. The court clearly stated that no public place can be surrounded indefinitely.

The Bombay High Court also mentioned during the hearing that during the days of Ganeshotsav, the Mumbai Police is completely busy in maintaining law and order. At such a time, agitation or dharna demonstration can affect the peace and system of the city. The hearing was held on a PIL filed by Amy Foundation, in which Jarang Patil’s proposed agitation was opposed.

The case came before the bench of Bombay High Court Chief Justice Alok Aradh and Justice Sandeep Maran. The court clarified during the hearing that the right to agitation is part of the democratic system, but this right cannot be above public life and law and order.

Manoj Patil also targeted Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and leader Chhagan Bhujbal. Jarange said that power can ever turn, so do not be in pride. He demanded that uniform certificates should be issued for Maratha and Kunbi society and the process of reservation should be started through gazette notifications.

Manoj Jarange Patil said that he is doing this struggle for the future of the children of the society. He made emotional appeal to the society not to be angry and stand firmly with him. He claims that seven crore people of Maratha society are standing behind him.
