The Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Government of Maharashtra has announced the winners of Maharashtra State Film Awards 2025 on July 29. This year, actor-director Prasad Oak, veteran musician Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar, famous screenwriter Salim Khan and actress Rani Mukherjee will be honored with special honours.

Prasad Oak swings with happiness
Prasad Oak will be honored with the Chhatrapati V. Shantaram Special Contribution Award for his contribution to Marathi cinema. Expressing happiness over this honour, Prasad Oak thanked the Maharashtra government and the jury members. According to Indian Express, Prasad Oak said, ‘I would like to heartily thank the jury members of the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Maharashtra for this honour. I have grown up watching the work of V. Shantaram ji and learning from his extraordinary contribution to Indian cinema. Receiving an award in his name is indeed a moment of great pride and joy for me.

Prasad Oak expressed gratitude
He further said, I am very grateful to all those directors, producers and colleagues who believed in me and gave me opportunities to grow as an artist. I also wholeheartedly thank the audience, whose love and encouragement have taken my journey forward. I dedicate this honor to my family, who stood by me at every step of my life. This honor inspires me to continue working with the same enthusiasm and honesty.

Rani Mukherjee and Salim Khan will get this award
At the same time, Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar will be given Chhatrapati V. Shantaram Jeevan Gaurav Award. Apart from this, famous writer Salim Khan will receive the Raj Kapoor Jeevan Gaurav Award. Apart from this, actress Rani Mukherjee will be honored with the Raj Kapoor Special Contribution Award.

These celebs received awards last year
Let us tell you that last year actor-director Mahesh Manjrekar had received the Chhatrapati V. Shantaram Lifetime Achievement Award. At the same time, actress Mukta Barve was honored with the Special Contribution Award. Apart from this, actor Anupam Kher was honored with the ‘Late Raj Kapoor Lifetime Achievement Award’, while actress Kajol was given the ‘Late Raj Kapoor Special Contribution Award’.
