While sharing the official update, the franchise shared the information about the arrival of Pathirana. KKR shared a post on social media, in which many pictures of Pathirana were seen. Pathirana was also seen being welcomed in a picture. Pathirana was bought by Kolkata for a price of Rs 18 crore.

Was away from KKR due to injury

Let us tell you that Pathirana was injured during the 2026 T20 World Cup. KKR did not include any replacement for Pathirana in the team, but waited for the Sri Lankan fast bowler. Now it will be interesting to see what changes happen in the team with the arrival of Pathirana.

However, it was not told by the franchise from which match Pathirana will be available for the team. There are speculations that he will be seen in KKR jersey from the very next match. The team’s next match will be on Sunday, April 19 at 3:30 pm.

Pathirana plays white ball cricket for Sri Lanka. So far, he has played 12 ODI and 28 T20 International matches in his career. Pathirana took 17 wickets in ODI. Apart from this, the Sri Lankan fast bowler took 17 wickets in his account in T20 International.
