Thirteen people died after seven buses and three vehicles collided with each other on the Yamuna Expressway in Mathura early Tuesday morning after several vehicles caught fire. Police officials gave this information. Officials said that 35 other people were also injured in this accident. They said that this accident happened around 4.30 am in the morning in Baldev police station area on Yamuna Expressway when at least seven buses and three small vehicles collided with each other in dense fog. They have been identified as Akhilendra Pratap Yadav (44), resident of Prayagraj, and Rampal (75), resident of Maharajganj district. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem. He said that all these people died due to burn injuries after the vehicles caught fire.

Sachan said that out of the injured, 15 have been admitted to the district hospital, nine to the Community Health Center of Baldev, nine to a private hospital and two to SN Medical College, Agra. He said that the passengers were taken to their destination by government vehicles. Senior Superintendent of Police said that due to the accident, a temporary diversion has also been done.
