Royal Challengers Bangalore will play as the defending champion in the next edition of IPL (IPL 2026), before that the team is looking to make some changes in its squad. IPL mini auction is likely to take place on December 15. Before this, the deadline for all the 10 franchises to submit the list of retained and released players to the board is 15th November. liam livingstone

The name of England all-rounder Liam Livingstone is included in the list of players whom RCB can release before the IPL 2026 auction. For the last edition, RCB had bought Livingstone for Rs 8.75 crore in the mega auction. Livingstone played 10 matches under the captaincy of Rajat Patidar, in whose 8 innings he scored only 112 runs at a strike rate of 133.33. He was able to score only one half-century, but he was not able to do anything special in bowling also.

Mayank Agarwal

After the injury of Devdutt Padikkal, RCB included Mayank Agarwal in the team in his place. Padikkal was looking in good form before his exit, scoring 247 runs in 10 innings at a strike rate of 150.60. Experienced batsman Mayank Agarwal played only 4 matches for RCB, in which he scored 94 runs at a strike rate of 148.43. But with the expectation of Padikkal’s arrival, RCB may release Mayank, so that they have more money in their purse.

Swapnil Singh

34-year-old Swapnil Singh was included in their team by RCB in the last auction for Rs 50 lakh through RTM card, but he did not get a chance to play even a single match. RCB may consider releasing him before the auction.

lungi ngidi

RCB can also release South African fast bowler Lungi Ngidi. Ngidi was made a part of their team by RCB for Rs 1 crore. He played 2 matches in the last edition (2025) and took 4 wickets. However, the big problem is that RCB was not able to fit Ngidi in their playing 11, considering this, RCB can consider releasing him.

Rasik Salaam Dar

Fast bowler Rasik Salam Dar, who comes from Jammu and Kashmir, was bought by RCB in the last auction for Rs 6 crore, he made his debut for RCB in the first match of the last edition. In this match, Rasik took 1 wicket for 35 runs in 3 overs, after which he played one more match but then he could not find a place in the playing 11. RCB may consider releasing these 5 players.

Mayank agarwal, from fan in March to ipl champion in May: Royal Challengers Bangalore finally won their first IPL Trophy after 17 years. RCB defeated Punjab Kings by 6 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Tuesday. All the players of the team played an important role in this victory of RCB. After this, RCB’s left -handed batsman Devdutt got out of the team due to a physical injury. Mayank was included in the team as a replacement of Paddikal. After this, he got a chance to play in all four matches. Aggarwal scored 95 runs in these four matches. But he played two very important innings. Mayank scored 41 runs against Lucknow. He won the team by making an unbeaten century partnership with Jitesh Sharma. After which the team finished the top-2. After this, Mayank contributed to 24 runs in 18 balls in the final match. After which he became the champion with the team.

Wins in final, first trophy raised after 17 years

RCB, batting first, scored 190 runs on the score board. In response to this, Punjab could score only 184 runs in the entire 20 overs and lost the match by 6 runs. RCB was waiting for this trophy for the last 17 years, which was completed this year. Krunal Pandya bowled brilliantly in the final. Krunal took two wickets for just 17 runs in 4 overs. He was also adjudged Player of the Match for excellent bowling.
