China welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s possible visit on Friday (August 8, 2025) on Friday (August 8, 2025) to attend the Tianjin Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Sangathan (SCO) later this month. He hoped that the event would be a meeting of solidarity, friendship and meaningful results.

People who have knowledge about the case in Delhi said this week that after a gap of seven years, Prime Minister Modi can visit China to attend the SCO’s annual summit later this month.

SCO summit will be held from 31 August to 1 September

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said, “China welcomes Prime Minister Modi for the SCO’s Tianjin Summit.” He was asked about the news of Modi’s visit to China to attend the summit. China will host the SCO Summit in Tianjin from 31 August to 1 September.

He said, “We believe that the combined effort of all parties will have a confluence of solidarity, friendship and meaningful consequences and SCO will enter a new phase of high quality development with more solidarity, coordination, mobility and productivity.”

Sco This conference of the biggest event after its establishment- Guo

Guo said, “Leaders of more than 20 countries, including all member countries of SCO and 10 international organizations, will participate in the relevant programs. SCO Tianjin Summit will be the biggest summit since the establishment of SCO.”

Modi is expected to visit Japan around August 29. After this, he can go to the Chinese city of Tianjin for the SCO summit. There has been no official confirmation of Modi’s visit to Japan and China to two countries yet.

The meeting between PM Modi and President Jinping is not clear

China is the current president of SCO. In such a situation, India’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval had gone to China to participate in SCO meetings in the last two months. However, it is not yet clear whether Prime Minister Modi and President Jinping will hold a bilateral meeting during the SCO Summit or not. It is expected that Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend the top leaders participating in the SCO Summit.

PM Modi went to China in 2018 last time

Prime Minister Modi last came to China to attend the SCO summit in June 2018. At the same time, Chinese President Xi Jinping went to India for the second informal summit in October 2019. However, in eastern Ladakh, there was a tussle between the two countries due to deadlock on the border. The military deadlock in eastern Ladakh began in May 2020 and in June the same year, there was a serious tension in the relationship in the Galwan Valley.

In 2024, Modi-Jinping met in Kazan, Russia

The deadlock was effectively ended after the process of returning soldiers from the last two conflict points of Demchok and Depsang under the agreement on 21 October last year. It was decided to resume various dialogues in a meeting between Prime Minister Modi and President Jinping on 23 October 2024 in Kazan, Russia.

This meeting of Modi-shee was held between India and China two days after the agreement to withdraw soldiers from Depsang and Demchok. The two sides took several initiatives to reinforce the relationship, including to resume the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra and re -start tourist visas to Chinese citizens from New Delhi. The two sides are also discussing the methods of resumption of direct flight services between the two countries.

Was in 2001 in Shanghai Sco Establishment of

The SCO consisting of India, China, Russia, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Iran and Belarus is an impressive economic and security group that has emerged as one of the largest inter -international international organizations. It was founded in 2001 by the Presidents of Russia, China, Republic, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan at a summit in Shanghai. Pakistan became its permanent member with India in 2017. Iran joined the group in 2023 and Belarus in 2024.

Foreign Minister S. On Wednesday (July 30, 2025), Jaishankar took a dig at the Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition and Congress MPs Rahul Gandhi and Jairam Ramesh in the Rajya Sabha. Foreign Criticized Congress leaders as a self -proclaimed China Guru and criticized them.

Speaking on the issue of China in Rajya Sabha, External Affairs Minister S.K. Jayashankar responded to the criticism being done by the opposition. Jaishankar said, “Nowadays some people are sharing a lot of knowledge on China. At the same time, some people have even said that I do not know about China.”

Foreign Minister tightens Congress MP Jairam Ramesh

He said, “I have spent 41 years of my life in Foreign Service and only I have been India’s longest service ambassador in China. But now some people have become the Chiga Guru. One of them Honorable Member (Jairam Ramesh), who is sitting in front. The attachment for China is so much that he had added a new word to China and India to add a new word ‘Chindiya’ by adding China and India.

Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar made this comment taunting Congress MP Jairam Ramesh, who composed the word ‘Chindia’ (CHINDIA) to promote the idea of working closely with India and China in the early 2000s.

#Watch Delhi | On the issue of china raised by the opposition in the parliament, eam dr s jaishankar says, “… there are ‘china gurus’. Great, ‘Unhone Ek Sandhi Bana Li Thi India… pic.twitter.com/qknewdkykr

– ANI (@ani) July 30, 2025

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said about the word Chindia

In his interview given to China’s official newspaper Global Times in 2014, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh had said, “Ten years ago when I proposed the word ‘Chindia’ (Chandia), its aim was to cooperate with each other and face the upcoming challenges together.”

He said, “Chindia is not an old or irrelevant thinking; actually this is the approach with which the governments of both countries are moving forward. India and China should not become victims of those who naturally consider each other enemies.”

Foreign Minister took a sarcasm on Rahul Gandhi about China

At the same time, Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar also indirectly targeted the earlier comments made by Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi about China. It is noteworthy that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has questioned the Modi government’s way of dealing with the situation of border tension with China.

In a program in London in 2023, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said that the understanding of the Foreign Minister about China was absolutely superficial. He had said, “I spoke to the Foreign Minister, but he does not understand China.” The BJP reacted sharply to this comment of Rahul Gandhi.

At the same time, Jaishankar took a sarcasm on this whole episode and said, “This ‘China Guru’ says that China and Pakistan have come very close and this is absolutely correct. But why they came close? Because we left the land of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) among them.”

On Wednesday (July 30, 2025) during the monsoon session of Parliament, Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar gave his speech in the discussion about Operation Sindoor in the Rajya Sabha. During this, Jaishankar clarified that there was no phone conversation between US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi between 22 April and 16 June.

In the Rajya Sabha, the Foreign Minister said, “… I want to tell him, he should open his ears. From April 22 to June 16, there was not a single phone call between President Trump and Prime Minister Modi.”

Clear the country’s policy on ceasefire with Pakistan

In addition, S.K. Jaishankar also reiterated India’s clear policy regarding mediation in India-Pakistan affairs. He said, “Any kind of conversation with Pakistan will only be bilateral and if Pakistan wants to stop the struggle, it will have to be requested in a formal way through DGMO.”

He said, “When the operation vermilion started, many countries were in contact at that time, who wanted to know how serious this situation is and how long it will last. If you want to stop, Pakistan will have to make a request in a formal way and that request can only come through DGMO. “

Jaishankar said to stop Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan

In addition, Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar targeted the Congress by speaking on India’s decision to stop the Indus Water Treaty after the Pahalgam terror attack in the Rajya Sabha. He said, “The Congress party is uncomfortable with history.”

Jaishankar pointed to the Congress’s mistakes regarding the management of the Indus Water Treaty in the Rajya Sabha and stressed how important the agreement was. He said, “India’s Indus Water Treaty is a unique agreement with Pakistan in many ways. I do not remember any other agreement in the world in which a country has allowed its major rivers to flow towards another country without taking rights.”

He further said, “I want to remind the history of this development. On Tuesday (July 29) I heard that some people are uncomfortable with history. They want all the things of history to be forgotten. Maybe she will not be good for them, they like to remember only some good and special things.”

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday (July 16, 2025) accused Congress MP and Leader of Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi of being habitually false and criminal in the case of disrespecting armed forces. BJP national spokesperson Ajay Alok said that he does not even know the ‘F’ of Foreign Policy, but he keeps raising questions.

BJP national spokesperson Ajay Alok said, “After Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar’s meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, the Congress leader retaliated on the way of the government on the way the government deal with the Chinese issue.” He said, “When our Foreign Minister will go to China for SCO meeting, he will not meet China’s Foreign Minister Wang Ji and President Xi Jinping, who will he meet. Will he meet the Prime Minister of Italy.”

What did Rahul Gandhi say about foreign minister’s visit to China,

Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi shared a news on Jaishankar’s meeting with Xi Jinping on Tuesday (July 15) on his X account. He wrote, “I think (now) Chinese Foreign Minister will come and (Prime Minister) will make Modi aware of recent developments in China-India relations. Foreign Minister is now running a complete circus with the aim of destroying India’s foreign policy.”

What did BJP say on army comments?

Two days after Rahul Gandhi was granted bail by a court in Lucknow in a defamation case filed regarding the remarks made in relation to the armed forces, Alok accused the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha of lying habitually. He claimed that Gandhi has often been making derogatory comments against the armed forces.

Alok spoke on adding secular and socialist words in the preamble

Amid the RSS call to reconsider the word ‘secular and socialist’ in the preamble of the Constitution during the Emergency, Alok said that this should be debated in the country as this amendment is an insult to BR Ambedkar and it was done when the opposition leaders were in jail.

Shehbaz sharif on India Pakistan Conflicts: Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has given a big statement about peace amidst the huge tension between India and Pakistan for the last few days. The Pakistani PM said on Thursday (May 15) said that he is ready to hold peace talks with India.

According to the Reuters report, this statement of Shahbaz Sharif has come on a ceasefire agreement on May 10, 2025 to prevent military actions between the two countries.

Pahalgam terror attack increased tension between the two countries

The cause of the recently increased tension between India and Pakistan was a terrorist attack on tourists in Basaron Valley of Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, 2025. A Nepali citizen, including 25 Indian citizens, was also killed in this attack. The responsibility of which was taken by the TRF, a small group in the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET).

India launched Operation Sindoor in response to Pahalgam attack

In response to the terrorist attack of Pahalgam, India started a retaliation against Pakistan in the name of Operation Sindoor on 7 May. Under this operation, India launched accurate attacks on 9 terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK). In which more than 100 terrorists were killed.

Ceasefire implemented after 4 days of deadly military action

After this, drone and missile attacks between India and Pakistan started. India destroyed all drones and missile attacks by Pakistan in the air. Apart from this, he was also ruined at military bases in many provinces and cities of Pakistan. After continuous military actions for 4 days, a ceasefire agreement was signed between the two sides. However, even after the ceasefire is implemented, India has continued the sanctions imposed on Pakistan.

Indian Foreign Minister warns Pakistan over terrorism

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar made it clear on Thursday (May 15, 2025) that India will be ready to discuss with Pakistan only when Pakistan will be ready to end all the terrorist structures and their relations with them.

Jaishankar said, “I think the Prime Minister has made it clear that there will be talks with Pakistan only on terrorism.” He said, “Pakistan has a list of terrorists, which are very important to hand over.”

He further said, “Pakistan knows what to do. We are ready to negotiate with them on the issue of terrorism. This is the only subject on which talks are possible.”
