India strongly condemned Pakistan’s air strikes in the border areas of Afghanistan, calling it a deliberate and unprovoked attack and a direct threat to regional peace and stability. Many civilians have died in Pakistan’s attack. India expressed deep condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.

‘A major threat to regional stability’

The Indian Foreign Ministry said in its statement, ‘India strongly condemns Pakistan’s air strikes in Afghanistan, in which many civilians, including women and children, have lost their lives. This open aggression of Pakistan is an attack on the sovereignty of Afghanistan and a direct threat to regional peace and stability.

The ministry said, ‘India expresses its condolences to the Afghan families who have lost their loved ones and wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured. It also reiterates its unwavering support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Afghanistan. The Foreign Ministry also said in a statement, ‘This reflects Pakistan’s continued irresponsible behavior and its futile attempt to link its internal failures to external causes through desperate acts of violence outside its borders.’

‘After the agreement with Iran, America’s team will come to Moscow…’, Putin’s shocking claim, know what is going to happen there?

What to say about PAK?

Pakistan said on Monday (June 29) that its security forces killed 29 militants near the Afghan border. Meanwhile, due to increasing tension, Pakistan and Afghanistan called each other’s diplomatic representatives and lodged a protest.

Pakistan had made several allegations against India regarding the recent terrorist attack in Karachi, which India has completely rejected on Sunday (June 28, 2026). Terming the allegations as baseless, India asked Islamabad to focus on eliminating the terrorist infrastructure growing in its country instead of pointing fingers at others.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson gave information

Responding to media questions on Sunday (June 28, 2026), India’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, ‘We have seen reports related to Pakistan’s baseless allegations against India regarding the recent incident in Karachi. We reject these allegations outright.

He said, ‘Instead of blaming others, it would be better if Pakistan looks within itself. It should take strict action against the terrorists and terrorist structures growing on its soil and should also end its tendency to use terrorism as an instrument of its national policy.

False claim of foiling terrorist attack in Karachi

This statement of India’s Ministry of External Affairs comes a day after Pakistan’s claim in which Pakistan’s security forces claimed that they foiled the terrorist attack in the compound of Sindh Rangers in Karachi.

According to Pakistani officials, this terrorist attack took place on the Bhittai Wing Headquarters of Sindh Rangers located in Gulistan-e-Johar area of Karachi on Saturday night (June 27, 2026). Four Rangers soldiers were killed in this attack. At the same time, officials also said that the operation against the attack lasted for about 90 minutes i.e. one and a half hour, in which six terrorists were killed and one was arrested alive.

Pakistani officials have identified the terrorists who attacked the Ranger Headquarters. They have been identified as members of Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, the militant group of the banned organization Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Later, the banned organization TTP also took responsibility for this attack.

India has reacted strongly to the recent comments of Pakistan President and has completely rejected them. The Foreign Ministry on Saturday said that Pakistan has no right to comment on India’s internal affairs and such statements are not only inappropriate but also beyond the realities.

Official spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, Randhir Jaiswal, in a statement issued in response to media queries, said that India categorically rejects the unnecessary comments made by the President of Pakistan. He said, ‘India clearly rejects the unnecessary comments made by the President of Pakistan. Under any circumstances, he has no right to comment on the internal affairs of India.’

Also read: This move of Zelensky will increase Putin’s tension! Ukraine will bid for Russia’s seized weapons, starts internet platform

Foreign Ministry also raised questions on Pakistan’s human rights record

India’s reaction was not limited to this comment only. The Foreign Ministry also raised sharp questions on Pakistan’s human rights record. The statement said that Pakistan’s own human rights record has been very poor and this is not a hidden fact but a topic of discussion at the global level.

The spokesperson said, ‘These comments are especially ridiculous because Pakistan has a very poor record on human rights, which has been discussed all over the world. Pakistan’s long history of systematically targeting and persecuting minorities of different religions is well known.

India also alleged that the Pakistan President’s comments could only be seen as a political attack. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, this statement is a reflection of Pakistan’s policies which have been promoting fanaticism and hatred for a long time.

“Given this reality, the President’s comments can only be seen as a calculated political attack, inspired by Pakistan’s national policies based on bigotry and hatred,” the statement said.

What has Pakistan President Zardari said?

Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari had alleged that Muslims are not safe in India. It has been claimed that historical Muslim religious places in India are in danger. The condition of religious minorities in Pakistan has not been good. However, it seems that Zardari had not studied the data properly before making this statement. Apart from this, Zardari had said many baseless things.

After the news of loss of contact with Indian crewed ship Liaki Freedom near Oman coast, rumors of attack on it spread rapidly on social media. However, India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) immediately clarified the situation and said that the master of the ship has been contacted, all the crew members are completely safe and the reports of the attack are completely false and baseless.

Foreign Ministry issued fact check
Releasing a fact check on social media, the Ministry of External Affairs said that there has been no attack on Liaiki Freedom. The ministry appealed to the people to be cautious of fake and misleading news going viral on social media and not to trust them.

Contact with the ship was lost for some time
According to the Forward Seamen’s Union of India, the ship’s VHF radio was not responding for some time, raising concerns. However, the organization had tracked the location of the ship and received information that it was safe at sea.

Concern increased after American attacks
In recent times, after the incidents of attacks on several ships with Indian crew in the Gulf of Oman, apprehensions were also raised about Liaiki Freedom. For this reason, as soon as the news of loss of contact came out, rumors of attack spread on social media.

Between May 15 and May 20, 2026, PM Modi has returned after visiting five countries in just six days. This journey was not limited to just foreign hospitality or photo sessions, but India returned from every stop with something that would directly give a new dimension to the country’s energy security, chip manufacturing, green energy and business strength. From UAE to Italy, each meeting resulted in agreements that will impact our wallets, our jobs and our security for decades to come. Let us know what exactly PM Modi returned from these five places?

First stop- United Arab Emirates (UAE): New chapter of energy security

PM Modi reached Abu Dhabi first thing on the morning of 15 May. In this short stay of about 3 hours, 7 agreements were signed between the two countries, the most important of which was ‘Strategic Petroleum Reserve Agreement’. This big deal on strategic oil reserves:

UAE’s national oil company ADNOC will now store 30 million barrels of crude oil in India’s strategic oil reserves. In case of war or interruption in supply, India will have the first right on this reserve. UAE will also pay rent to India for this storage.

Currently, India has three strategic oil reserves in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, with a capacity of 53.3 lakh metric tons (about 40 million barrels), but they are only 65% filled. After this deal, India’s strategic oil reserves will increase from the current 9 days of consumption to 14-15 days.

The most special thing about this deal is that instead of passing through the Strait of Hormuz, this UAE oil will directly reach Fujairah port through a special pipeline from Hashban Oil Field, from where ships can come to India. This will provide India with a safe and reliable supply route.

Apart from this, UAE will build a big ship repair center and training center for sailors at Vadinar port in Gujarat. Besides, it was also agreed to invest $3 billion (about Rs 48,000 crore) in infrastructure, banking and financial sectors.

Second Stop – Netherlands: Semiconductor Revolution and Critical Minerals

PM Modi reached Amsterdam at around 9 pm on 15th May and stayed for about one and a half day. During this, he met the royal family and the Prime Minister and a total of 17 agreements were signed. Two of these agreements are very important:

Historic deals in chip-making: Netherlands’ giant ASML has partnered with Tata Electronics in chip manufacturing. Tata is setting up India’s first semiconductor plant in Dholera, Gujarat at a cost of Rs 91,000 crore. ASML will help in starting chip production there with its monopoly lithography technology. This will reduce India’s dependence on chip imports, which is currently 90%. Chips worth Rs 1.05 lakh crore were imported in 2023-24.

Support for vital minerals: Netherlands will provide India with modern technology for exploration and mining of 30 important minerals like cobalt, lithium, graphite and nickel. Currently, India imports 70% to 100% of its requirement of minerals from countries like China.

Other than this:

Kalpasar Project: Water management expert Netherlands will help in the design and engineering of the 30 km long dam to be built on the Gulf of Khambhat in Gujarat.

Return of cultural heritage: The Netherlands returned 21 large and 3 small copper plates of the 11th century Chola dynasty to India. Dutch missionaries took them to Europe in the 18th century and India was trying to bring them back since 2012.

Third stop – Sweden: path to strategic partnership and free trade

PM Modi reached Stockholm on 17 May. Here he was awarded the ‘Royal Order of the Polar Star’, Sweden’s highest civilian honour. In Sweden: Strategic Partnership Enhanced: Relations between India and Sweden were elevated to the level of ‘Strategic Partnership’ and a target was set to double bilateral trade in the next 5 years.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, in her meeting with PM Modi, promised that she would sign this agreement by the end of the year. Under this deal, tariffs on 96.6% of goods coming to India from Europe will be completely removed or greatly reduced. Europe will also do the same on 99.5% of the goods coming from India.

Fourth stop- Norway: Historic journey and green energy after 43 years

PM Modi reached Oslo on 18 May. This was the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Norway in 43 years, before which Indira Gandhi had gone there in 1983. Many important agreements were signed here between the two countries:

Green Strategic Partnership: Agreements were reached between the two countries on 12 issues, the most important of which is ‘Green Strategic Partnership’. Under this, Norway will make big investments in India’s clean energy (solar, wind, hydroelectric, nuclear) projects. It is noteworthy that 98% of Norway’s electricity supply comes from clean energy, whereas India has a target of producing 500 GW of clean energy by 2030, against which only 283.46 GW of capacity has been installed by April 2026.

Talk on LPG purchase: Norway is Europe’s largest oil producer and produces about 2 million barrels of crude oil daily. Since the Iran war, India has increased the purchase of LPG from Norway and is exploring options to buy more oil from there in future.

Fifth stop – Italy: business, IMEC and friendship of ‘Melody’

On the last leg of his European tour, PM Modi reached Rome on May 19 and met Prime Minister Georgia Meloni. Both the leaders traveled in the same car and also took selfies in the 2,000 year old Colosseum. After this Melodi started trending on social media. Two major agreements were signed between India and Italy:

Agreed on taking forward IMEC: India and Italy decided to advance the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC). This project will connect India to the Middle East and Europe through railways, ports and shipping networks, which can reduce the time and cost of delivering goods from India to Europe by 30-40%.

Collaboration in AI and Cyber Security: Both the countries decided to give the status of ‘Special Strategic Partnership’ to their relations and set a target of taking bilateral trade to more than 20 billion euros by 2029. At present there is a trade of 14 billion euros (about Rs 1.60 lakh crore) between the two countries.

The situation in West Asia has not yet become normal. Three Indians were injured on Monday (May 4) in a fire that broke out in UAE’s Fujairah Petroleum Industries Zone (FOIZ) following a drone attack. Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal has condemned the attack on Indians.

Tension increased between US-Iran

Tension between America and Iran seems to be increasing once again. Breaking the ceasefire, Iran attacked the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with drones and missiles on Monday (May 4). This is considered to be Iran’s first major military action after the ceasefire announcement on April 8. UAE officials confirmed the air threat and said that emergency alerts were issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Defense and the air defense system was activated.

India has demanded to stop these war-like situations immediately. In the statement issued by MEA, it was said that targeting innocent civilians and residential areas is wrong. India believes that the solution to this problem can be found only through dialogue and diplomacy, so that peace can be established again in West Asia.

A fire broke out in the Fujairah Petroleum Industries Zone on Monday (May 4) after a drone attack by Iran, in which three Indian citizens were injured. In the statement, the Foreign Ministry appealed for an immediate end to the tension and strongly condemned the targeting of civilian infrastructure and civilians.

Iran breaks ceasefire and attacks UAE, first attack since April 8, 3 Indians injured

India has demanded the continuation of international trade through the ‘Strait of Hormuz’ without any hindrance. India stressed that maritime trade should be safe under international laws. The ministry made it clear that India is ready to support every effort to resolve this dispute peacefully.

PM Modi also condemned the attack

PM Modi also condemned the attack on Indians in UAE. Posting on X, he wrote, We strongly condemn the attacks on UAE, in which three Indian citizens have been injured. Targeting civilians and infrastructure is unacceptable. India stands in full solidarity with the UAE and reiterates its support for the peaceful resolution of all issues through dialogue and diplomacy. Ensuring safe movement through the Strait of Hormuz is extremely important for regional peace, stability and global energy security.

A statement was given by Pakistan on judicial matters related to a banned terrorist organization. The Ministry of External Affairs has given a strong reaction regarding this statement. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that we clearly reject the statement issued by Pakistan in support of the banned terrorist organization and its members. Pakistan has no right to comment on India’s internal affairs or its judicial processes.

Apart from this, the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs has said that, however, it is not surprising that a country, which has been promoting terrorism for a long time, has given such a statement justifying violence and killing of innocent people. Instead of spreading lies and talking nonsense, Pakistan should introspect on the serious and systematic human rights violations it continues to commit.

What is the whole matter?
In fact, Pakistan has rejected the entire case of Kashmiri leader Asiya Andrabi being sentenced to life imprisonment in a Delhi court. Apart from this, the sentence of 30-30 years to his two associates Fahmida Sofi and Nahida Nasreen has also been completely rejected. Also said that this is a big mistake of justice.

Here, the Foreign Ministry of India has made it clear that this decision has been given under the strict UAPA law. This is a clear example of suppressing basic human rights and freedom of expression in India’s illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Delhi court gave its verdict on January 14

Let us tell you, Delhi’s Special NIA Court on Tuesday sentenced Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chief Asiya Andrabi to life imprisonment under UAPA. This decision has been taken by the bench of Justice Chanderjit Singh. Apart from this, the court has also sentenced Andrabi’s two associates Sophie Fahmida and Nahida Nasreen to 30 years each. The court gave its verdict on 14 January.

Also read: ‘There is no shortage of petrol and diesel, more ships will soon leave the Strait of Hormuz…’, what the government told in the all-party meeting

The Ministry of External Affairs on Monday (16 March 2026) rejected the 2026 annual report of the US Commission on International Religious Freedom. In this report, it was recommended to ban Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) for violating religious freedom. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiwal said that the US Commission is trying to present its own picture of India by relying on dubious sources and ideological narratives instead of the truth.

Foreign Ministry slammed USCIRF

Foreign Ministry spokesperson said, ‘We have seen the report of the US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF). We reject it for presenting a biased picture of India. For the last several years, USCIRF has been presenting its own picture of India by relying on dubious sources and ideological statements. In this way, by repeatedly making false statements, the Commission weakens its own credibility.

Randhir Jaiswal said that instead of criticizing India, USCIRF should focus on incidents of vandalism of Hindu temples in the United States. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson said that the growing intolerance and threats against the Indian expatriate community in America should be considered.

RSS should be banned: USCIRF

The United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) said that India’s RSS and its Research and Analysis Wing should be banned. In its recommendation to the Trump administration, USCIRF called for a ban on arms sales to India on the grounds of harassment of US citizens in addition to targeted sanctions against RSS and RAW. The report also said that the future military and trade relations between India and America should be linked to religious freedom.

USCIRF also accused the Indian government of continuing to deteriorate the state of religious freedom in India and targeting religious minorities and places of worship. “Many states made efforts to enforce or strengthen anti-conversion laws, including harsher prison sentences,” the report said. “Indian authorities also perpetrated the detention and illegal expulsion of civilians and religious refugees, and tolerated violent attacks against religious minority communities.”

India US Trade Deal: In a major U-turn, the Office of the US Trade Representative (USTR) has removed the map of India which had shown Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Aksai Chin within the Indian border. This map was shocking for many people, because before this, PoK had been shown separately in the maps of Washington DC, so that Pakistan’s objections could be taken care of.

This map was posted last week when America announced a trade deal with India. In this map, PoK and Aksai Chin were shown as part of India. After this, there was a lot of discussion whether this was a mistake or a sign of a new phase in India-America relations. Ultimately, putting an end to the debate, the office of the US Trade Representative removed the post completely from its official X account.

used to show pok as different

Earlier, PoK was usually shown separately in US government maps, which reflected Pakistan’s claim. But the map, which has now been removed, had no such separate line and all the disputed areas were shown within the Indian border.

Till some time ago there was tension between the two countries regarding trade. Now both have agreed to reduce the tariff. America has reduced the tariff on Indian goods from 50 percent to 18 percent, which is the lowest among Asian countries. This decision seems to be opening the way for cooperation between the two countries. Aksai Chin was also shown as part of India in the removed map. Aksai Chin is an area located in north-eastern Ladakh, on which China has been continuously claiming, while India opposes it.

India has made its stand clear many times

India has already made it clear many times that the entire area of Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of it. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has also been continuously objecting to the inaccurate depiction of India’s borders, especially Jammu and Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh, by the US State Department and other international agencies.

Bollywood actress and former Miss India Celina Jaitley has directly sought help from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the release of her brother. Celina’s brother is former Indian Army Special Forces officer Major Vikrant Jaitley, efforts are being made to bring him back to India.

Where is Vikrant Jaitley imprisoned and why?

Vikrant has been in custody in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) since September 2024 and now more than 16 months have passed. In an emotional appeal, Celina said that she is a sister and would ‘move mountains’ to bring her brother back.

Celina tearfully told in an interview given to a news website that Vikrant was picked up by unknown people from the Mall of the Emirates parking area in Dubai. They asked for Emirates ID and took him in a black car. For the first nine months there was no official arrest record, no charges were announced, no legal aid was provided and the family received no information. In June 2025, it was revealed that he was kept in Al-Wathba Detention Center in Abu Dhabi. Selina said, ‘He was taken without any explanation. No arrest record, no lawyer, no contact. I didn’t know where my brother was.

Delhi High Court gave instructions to the Ministry of External Affairs

Celina Jaitley said that only one word ‘National Security’ was heard, but no charge sheet, no case or any details were given. The family contacted several law firms, but they were demanding millions of dirhams, which was difficult for the family. In November 2024, Celina filed a complaint on the MADAD portal and then filed a petition in the Delhi High Court in October 2025. The court directed the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to appoint legal representation for Vikrant. Now UAE firm Khalid Almarie Partners and Advocates has appointed Prof. Has agreed to fight his case for free. The court has also asked to make efforts to facilitate phone calls between brothers and sisters, but this has not happened yet.

Tired and appealed to PM Modi

Celina said, ‘I request Modi ji to please bring back this soldier. He has given his entire youth to the nation. If he had done something wrong, the case would have been pending by now. Our soldiers are not just numbers, the nation should stand behind them. Addressing his brother, he said, ‘Sister is with you. The whole country is with you. I would move mountains to bring you back. Jai Hind.’

Vikrant is a retired Special Forces Commando, whose wife started a company named Matiti International Group in 2016, which is involved in Human Resources, Risk Management and IT. Several generations of the family have been in the army. Selina compared this case to the detention of Indian Navy officers in Qatar, where India had successfully intervened.

This case is going on in the Delhi High Court, where MEA has been instructed to submit the report and provide legal help. Till now no official statement has come from UAE or Indian government, but after Celina’s appeal this news is becoming increasingly discussed.
