India on Sunday (December 14, 2025) strongly rejected the allegations made by the interim government of Bangladesh. India clarified that New Delhi has always supported free, fair and inclusive elections in its neighboring country. Furthermore, India has never allowed its soil to be used for any activity against the interests of the citizens of Bangladesh.

Actually, India has given this reaction after the Ministry of External Affairs of the government led by Chief Advisor Mohammad Yunus in Bangladesh summoned Indian High Commissioner Prannoy Sharma. Dhaka expressed concern over India allowing former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is living as a refugee, to make inflammatory statements instigating leaders and activists to engage in terrorist activities in Bangladesh. India has completely rejected this allegation made by Bangladesh.

India responded to Bangladesh’s allegations

In response to a statement issued by the interim government of Bangladesh, the Ministry of External Affairs of India also issued a statement. The Ministry of External Affairs said, ‘India vehemently rejects all the allegations made against it and India has never allowed its soil to be used for any activity against the interests of the citizens of Bangladesh.’

Regarding the general elections to be held in Bangladesh MEA what did he say,

India’s Foreign Ministry has also given a statement regarding the general elections to be held in Bangladesh. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs said, ‘India has consistently reiterated its support for the conduct of free, fair, inclusive and confident general elections in Bangladesh in a peaceful environment and New Delhi’s position on this matter remains completely firm and unchanged.’

India on Monday (December 8, 2025) issued an advisory for its citizens to take appropriate precautions while traveling to China or transiting through there to go to any other destination.
Foreign Minister S. regarding India-Pakistan relations and Chief of Defense Forces (CDF) in Pakistan, Field Marshal Asim Munir. Jaishankar has given a big statement. Jaishankar said that just as there are good terrorists and bad terrorists, there are good military leaders and some not so good leaders.

S. Speaking to Hindustan Times on Saturday (December 6, 2025), Jaishankar said, ‘The reality of the Pakistani Army has always been clear to India and many of our problems also arise from there.’

Jaishankar spoke on the question of India’s diplomacy

On the question of India being diplomatically stuck, Jaishankar said, ‘Look at the condition of Pakistan, look at its differences, its capabilities and also its respect and reputation. We should not get too attached to it. Yes, there are some issues and we will deal with them accordingly.

We have to follow some rules and norms: Jaishankar

On the question of India using some different methods during Operation Sindoor, Jaishankar said, ‘The kind of country we are, we have to follow some rules and norms.’

He said, ‘I look at it two ways. As far as India is concerned, we do some things and some we don’t do. That’s why we are India. We have rules, we have some standards. If we take any step then in this country we are accountable to the public, to the media and to the civil society.

What did Jaishankar say on Putin’s visit to India?,

Foreign Minister S. on the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to India. Jaishankar said, ‘It is very important for a country like India to have major relationships in good condition.’ He said, ‘For a country like ours, which is a big country, which is emerging and which is expected to play an increasingly important role, it is important that the special and important relations that we have should be strong. We should maintain good cooperation with as many countries as possible and we have the freedom to choose our options, so in short this is what is called foreign policy.

After the confirmation of the kidnapping of five Indian citizens in the West African country Mali, the Government of India and the Indian Embassy have started immediate efforts for their safe release. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Monday that the Indian Embassy in Bamako is in constant touch with the Mali authorities and the concerned company. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the incident took place on 6 November 2025 in an area that has seen several attacks and kidnappings by armed groups in the last few years.

Indian Embassy statement
The Indian Embassy in Mali posted on The Embassy is working with the Malian authorities and the company concerned to ensure their safe and early release. MEAIndia and PMOIndia were also tagged in the post, which clearly shows that the government is looking at the matter at a high level.

Constant contact and efforts
Officials in New Delhi said that the Indian Embassy is in constant touch with Mali’s security agencies and the company where these Indians were working. MEA Headquarters is also coordinating with other foreign missions and international partners to understand the security situation in the region. The ministry said that ‘all necessary efforts are being made for their release and the situation is being constantly monitored.’

Mali is struggling with instability
Mali is one of the most unstable countries in West Africa. The situation here has worsened due to several military coups and increasing activities of jihadi groups linked to Al-Qaeda and Islamic State. Kidnappings of foreign workers are particularly common in the central and northern parts of Mali, as government control is very weak in these areas.

In the ongoing civil war in the African country Sudan, the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has kidnapped an Indian citizen. The Sudanese army has declared RSF a terrorist organization. The government there is negotiating for the release of the Indian citizen. There is a conflict going on in Sudan between RSF and the army since 2023, in which more than 13 million people have been displaced so far.

Odisha man kidnapped in Sudan

Sudan’s Ambassador to India Mohammad Abdullah Ali Eltom said on Monday (3 November 2025) that the name of the person who was kidnapped is Adarsh Behera and he is a resident of Jagatsinghpur district of Odisha. He told that his country is coordinating with the Indian Foreign Ministry regarding this matter. Adarsh Behera was kidnapped by rebels in Al Fashir city of Sudan.

‘Will free you from the clutches of rebels’

According to the report of news agency PTI, Abdullah Ali Eltom said, “Even before this, during the siege of a city in Sudan, the Indian Foreign Ministry had contacted us about another of its citizens.” Describing the kidnapping of the Indian citizen as surprising, he said, “We know what we have to do. We also know what the RSF is capable of doing. We will soon rescue Adarsh Behera from the clutches of the rebels.”

Sudan–India bilateral relations

He said, “We have deep relations with India. India has always been an important partner of Sudan in times of peace and war. During this ongoing crisis, India has provided humanitarian assistance to Sudan and will continue to do so. The Government of India has provided medical assistance and food supplies to Sudan, which we greatly appreciate. As Sudan enters the post-war reconstruction phase, we believe India can play an important role as a development partner.”

Actress Celina Jaitley’s brother and former army officer Major Vikrant Kumar Jaitley has been in custody in the UAE for the last one year. In such a situation, Delhi High Court has ordered the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to provide them full legal help and assistance.

Celina Jaitley said in her petition that her brother has been illegally detained in UAE for the last one year. He appealed to the High Court that his brother should get legal aid, necessary treatment and diplomatic help from the Government of India.

Delhi High Court sought answer from the Central Government
In Delhi High Court, Justice Sachin Dutta directed the Central Government to file a status report in this case and inform the court about the health and condition of Major Jaitley. The court also said that the Central Government should remain in touch with the family and keep Major Jaitley’s wife and sister informed about him. For this, instructions have also been given to appoint a nodal officer, who will give constant updates to the family.

Celina Jaitley’s lawyer accused the central government
Celina’s lawyer said that till now no information has been given by the Ministry of External Affairs about Jaitley’s condition in UAE. The Central Government’s lawyer said that Major Jaitley has been given consular access (meeting the government representative). The petition states that Major Jaitley has served in the Indian Army and has also been a part of the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Lebanon. Later, he was working in a consultancy firm in UAE when he was abducted from a mall in front of his wife.

Celina Jaitley had lodged a complaint on the government’s help portal but received no response. He also contacted the Indian Embassy but did not get any help from there also. Now this case will be heard again on December 4.

US President Donald Trump has once again taken a tough stance on India and said...

US President Donald Trump has once again taken a tough stance on India and said that if India continues to import crude oil from Russia, it will have to pay heavy import tariffs. Trump gave this statement while talking to journalists in his plane Air Force One. He said, ‘I spoke to Prime Minister Modi. He said that India will not buy Russian oil. If they do not do so, they will have to pay heavy tariffs.

The Trump administration believes that the countries buying oil from Russia are indirectly providing financial support to the Ukraine war, that is why America is continuously putting pressure on the countries buying energy from Russia. In the past months, America had requested many countries including India to reduce or stop Russian oil imports.

India has rejected Trump’s claim

Trump has already claimed that PM Modi has assured him that India will no longer buy oil from Russia. However, Trump’s claim has been rejected by the Indian Foreign Ministry. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal had said that the aim of India’s energy policy is to protect the interests of its consumers. He said that India is a responsible energy importer. We take our decisions independently so that prices remain stable and supply remains diverse. India reiterated that its priority is to maintain economic balance and meet domestic needs and not to come under any political pressure.

Trump’s tariffs affected India

The Trump administration had increased the import duty on many Indian products earlier this year. This includes clothes, medicines and agricultural products. Indian industry organizations say that this policy has had a negative impact on exports. If a new tariff is imposed on the issue of Russian oil, India-US trade relations may sour.

Controversy over Modi-Trump conversation

Trump claimed in his statement that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised him not to buy Russian oil. Although the Indian government has clarified that there is no official record of any such conversation, when journalists raised questions on this, Trump said that if they did not agree, they would have to pay heavy tariffs.

India’s energy strategy

India is the third largest oil importer in the world. New Delhi says its goal is to maintain affordable, sustainable and diverse energy supply. India currently buys oil from Saudi Arabia, America, Russia and United Arab Emirates. Meanwhile, a senior official of the Energy Ministry said that oil from Russia is proving to be the cheapest deal economically, hence India considers it a part of its energy security strategy.

US President Donald Trump recently claimed that he talked to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about buying Russian oil. Trump further said that PM Modi assured him that India will stop buying Russian oil. Now the Ministry of External Affairs has denied this claim.

The Indian Foreign Ministry made it clear on Thursday that there was no telephonic conversation between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump yesterday (Wednesday). External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in the weekly briefing, ‘I have no knowledge of any conversation or phone call between Prime Minister Modi and President Trump yesterday.’

Trump had claimed to have talked to PM Modi
This statement has come after the recent remarks of US President Trump. Trump had said that Prime Minister Modi assured him that India will no longer buy oil from Russia. Trump described it as ‘a big step’, which will help in increasing global pressure on Moscow in view of the Ukraine crisis.

Trump said- ‘Modi is my friend’
When Trump was asked late on Wednesday night whether he considered India a reliable partner, he said, ‘Yes, absolutely.’ He (PM Modi) is my friend. We have a very good relationship. I did not like that India was buying oil from Russia. He assured me today that now India will not buy oil from Russia. This is a big step. Now we will have to do the same with China.

MEA reiterated India’s policy
In response to these comments, MEA had already clarified that India’s energy policy is made keeping in mind only the national interest and the safety of Indian consumers. The ministry said that India is a large importer of oil and gas and its priority has always been to ensure stable prices and secure supply, for which imports are done from diverse sources.

The Ministry of External Affairs of India has issued an official statement on Thursday (October 16, 2025) regarding the ongoing conflict between Afghanistan and Pakistan. The Ministry of External Affairs has said that we are keeping a close eye on this matter.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, ‘Three things are clear on the tension between Pakistan and Afghanistan. The first thing is that Pakistan gives shelter to terrorist organizations and sponsors terrorist activities. Secondly, it is Pakistan’s old habit to blame its neighbors for its internal failures and thirdly, Pakistan is angry that Afghanistan is exercising sovereignty over its territories.

Emphasizing this, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that India is fully committed to the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Afghanistan.

India gave strong reaction to Pakistan’s allegations

There have been border clashes between Pakistan and Afghanistan twice in the same week. Pakistan has accused Afghanistan of giving shelter to terrorists. Apart from this, Pakistan has been indirectly blaming India for this conflict. To which now the Indian Foreign Ministry has given a strong reaction. The Ministry of External Affairs has said that it is a long-standing habit of Pakistan to blame its neighbors for its internal failures, especially for promoting and harboring terrorism.

The ministry also clarified that Pakistan should take responsibility for its own problems and not try to divert attention by making false allegations on neighboring countries.

17 people died in Afghanistan-Pakistan clash

Dozens of soldiers and civilians were killed in fresh border clashes between Afghanistan and Pakistan on Tuesday (October 14, 2025) night. At the same time, the United Nations Mission in Afghanistan said that on Wednesday (October 15, 2025), 17 people were killed and 346 people were injured in the air strikes carried out by the Pakistani Army in Afghanistan.
