The investigation has intensified after the arrest of suspect Shubham Khairnar in the NEET paper leak case by CBI from Nashik. Now many people who were in contact with him have also come under the radar of the investigating agency. According to the information, those running some coaching classes in Nashik are also being interrogated. CBI is trying to find out which people may have played a role in this whole matter and how big is the network.

CBI investigation has also revealed that Telegram app was used extensively in this alleged paper leak conspiracy. Now the agency is also deeply investigating this digital angle to find out how the question paper or information might have been shared.

CBI investigating in Nashik

According to the information, a CBI team is quietly investigating in Nashik. The agency is trying to bring out the complete truth of the case by connecting every small and big evidence. Statements of people associated with Shubham Khairnar and his friends are also being recorded. The investigation also revealed that he had allegedly helped some students in getting admission in medical courses. Along with this, directors of some coaching centers may also come under the ambit of investigation.

CBI is also examining the CCTV footage of the area where Shubham Khairnar lived, to trace his activities and contacts. At present, many other suspects from Nashik are also under the agency’s radar and more big revelations are expected as the investigation progresses.

Officer associated with NTA is under CBI investigation

Many things are continuously coming to light in the investigation of NEET-UG 2026 paper leak, it is reported that an unknown officer associated with the National Testing Agency (NTA) is now under the investigation of CBI. This disclosure has come after the arrest of Manisha Sanjay Waghmare and Chemistry lecturer PV Kulkarni in connection with the paper leak, due to which the examination of May 3 was cancelled. Both the accused have been sent to CBI custody for 10 days.
