MI vs RR Scorecard: Batting first, Rajasthan Royals scored 150 runs in 11 overs. Yashasvi Jaiswal created a ruckus and played an explosive inning of 77 runs in the rain-affected match being played in Guwahati. Due to rain the number of overs was reduced to 11. Apart from Jaiswal, Vaibhav Suryavanshi also created havoc and played an inning of 39 runs.

In this match, Mumbai Indians won the toss and chose to bowl first. The MI camp had some hope that the new ball would swing, hence Deepak Chahar got a place in the playing eleven. As expected, Deepak Chahar and Trent Boult bowled with the new ball, but Jaiswal and Suryavanshi made ghosts of the bowlers by beating them and scored 59 runs in the powerplay also.

Meanwhile, Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Jasprit Bumrah came face to face for the first time. Vaibhav hit a six on the very first ball of Bumrah. Suryavanshi scored 39 runs in 14 balls. He hit one four and 5 sixes in this innings with a strike rate of 278.57.

Jaiswal’s storm

Jaiswal destroyed the bowling of Mumbai Indians. Suryavanshi was out in the 5th over, but Yashasvi Jaiswal’s bat was unstoppable. He returned unbeaten after scoring 77 runs in 32 balls. Captain Ryan Parag could not stay at the crease for long, but he also scored 20 runs in 10 balls.

Star fast bowler Trent Boult gave away 22 runs in a single over. Deepak Chahar also gave 22 runs, while Jasprit Bumrah also gave away runs at an economy rate of more than 10. Ghazanfar was the most successful bowler for MI, taking 2 wickets. However, that also proved to be very expensive. Shardul Thakur also succeeded in taking one wicket.
