Recently, the Supreme Court said on Thursday that it did not order to remove stray dogs from the streets. Their aim is to ensure that stray animals are managed as per the Animal Birth Control (ABC) Rules, 2023. According to the court, due to increase in dog bite cases and failure of municipal authorities to enforce rules, they had to intervene in the matter.
