Foreign Minister S. regarding India-Pakistan relations and Chief of Defense Forces (CDF) in Pakistan, Field Marshal Asim Munir. Jaishankar has given a big statement. Jaishankar said that just as there are good terrorists and bad terrorists, there are good military leaders and some not so good leaders.

S. Speaking to Hindustan Times on Saturday (December 6, 2025), Jaishankar said, ‘The reality of the Pakistani Army has always been clear to India and many of our problems also arise from there.’

Jaishankar spoke on the question of India’s diplomacy

On the question of India being diplomatically stuck, Jaishankar said, ‘Look at the condition of Pakistan, look at its differences, its capabilities and also its respect and reputation. We should not get too attached to it. Yes, there are some issues and we will deal with them accordingly.

We have to follow some rules and norms: Jaishankar

On the question of India using some different methods during Operation Sindoor, Jaishankar said, ‘The kind of country we are, we have to follow some rules and norms.’

He said, ‘I look at it two ways. As far as India is concerned, we do some things and some we don’t do. That’s why we are India. We have rules, we have some standards. If we take any step then in this country we are accountable to the public, to the media and to the civil society.

What did Jaishankar say on Putin’s visit to India?,

Foreign Minister S. on the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to India. Jaishankar said, ‘It is very important for a country like India to have major relationships in good condition.’ He said, ‘For a country like ours, which is a big country, which is emerging and which is expected to play an increasingly important role, it is important that the special and important relations that we have should be strong. We should maintain good cooperation with as many countries as possible and we have the freedom to choose our options, so in short this is what is called foreign policy.

The comment from Pakistan regarding hoisting of the sacred saffron flag over the Ram temple...

The comment from Pakistan regarding hoisting of the sacred saffron flag over the Ram temple in Ayodhya has once again increased the diplomatic tension between India and Pakistan. India not only rejected Pakistan’s objections, but also called them an example of double standards.

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal clearly said that Pakistan’s criticism is neither factual nor has any moral basis. He said that a country whose history is full of fanaticism, dictatorial mentality and oppression of minorities is not in a position to teach religious freedom to a democratic country like India. Jaiswal also reiterated that the flag hoisting in Ayodhya is related to the cultural and spiritual beliefs of India and the opinion of any outside country has no importance in this.

Why did Pakistan raise objection?

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry in its statement had described the flag hoisted on the Ram Temple as an expression of Islamophobia. Pakistan said that this step reminds it of the events of 1992 and creates an environment of danger for religious minorities in India. Pakistan even said that international organizations should intervene in this issue.

India gave a befitting reply

India reacted sharply to this statement and said that Pakistan should pay attention to the deteriorating situation in its country before interfering in religious events in India. MEA said, incidents like pressure on religious minorities, forced conversions, attacks on temples and churches and human rights violations have been happening continuously in Pakistan. In such a situation, preaching about Pakistan is nothing more than hypocrisy.

importance of saffron flag

Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the sacred saffron flag on the Ram temple during a special ceremony held in Ayodhya on November 25. This event symbolized the progress of temple construction, which was celebrated one year after the consecration. For millions of devotees, it was a cultural and spiritual moment which has no connection with Pakistan.

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Tuesday (October 21) questioned the Central Government as to why...

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Tuesday (October 21) questioned the Central Government as to why US President Donald Trump is repeatedly saying that he has talked to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about buying oil from Russia.

Jairam Ramesh said that Trump has repeated this claim three times in the last five days and this number may increase as he meets Russian President Vladimir Putin in Budapest this week. He said that Trump is saying that he spoke to Modi and India promised to stop buying oil from Russia, while the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has rejected this.

Trump warned India

Trump had also said on Monday that if India continues to buy oil from Russia, heavy tariffs will continue to be imposed on it. He told the media, “I spoke to Prime Minister Modi and he said that he will not buy Russian oil. But if he says so, he will continue to buy, then he will continue to pay heavy tariffs.”

Foreign Ministry had already refused the phone call

The Ministry of External Affairs had already clarified that there was no recent phone call between Modi and Trump on October 15. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said the two leaders had spoken over phone only on October 9, in which Modi congratulated Trump on the success of the Gaza peace plan and reviewed trade talks. Jaiswal also said that India’s stance on energy policy is based on national interests and safety of citizens.

Trump’s statement is being seen in the context of pressure from Western countries to reduce energy relations with Russia after the Ukraine crisis. India has said that its energy purchases are made keeping in mind the national interest and the safety of Indian consumers.

US President Donald Trump has once again taken a tough stance on India and said...

US President Donald Trump has once again taken a tough stance on India and said that if India continues to import crude oil from Russia, it will have to pay heavy import tariffs. Trump gave this statement while talking to journalists in his plane Air Force One. He said, ‘I spoke to Prime Minister Modi. He said that India will not buy Russian oil. If they do not do so, they will have to pay heavy tariffs.

The Trump administration believes that the countries buying oil from Russia are indirectly providing financial support to the Ukraine war, that is why America is continuously putting pressure on the countries buying energy from Russia. In the past months, America had requested many countries including India to reduce or stop Russian oil imports.

India has rejected Trump’s claim

Trump has already claimed that PM Modi has assured him that India will no longer buy oil from Russia. However, Trump’s claim has been rejected by the Indian Foreign Ministry. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal had said that the aim of India’s energy policy is to protect the interests of its consumers. He said that India is a responsible energy importer. We take our decisions independently so that prices remain stable and supply remains diverse. India reiterated that its priority is to maintain economic balance and meet domestic needs and not to come under any political pressure.

Trump’s tariffs affected India

The Trump administration had increased the import duty on many Indian products earlier this year. This includes clothes, medicines and agricultural products. Indian industry organizations say that this policy has had a negative impact on exports. If a new tariff is imposed on the issue of Russian oil, India-US trade relations may sour.

Controversy over Modi-Trump conversation

Trump claimed in his statement that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised him not to buy Russian oil. Although the Indian government has clarified that there is no official record of any such conversation, when journalists raised questions on this, Trump said that if they did not agree, they would have to pay heavy tariffs.

India’s energy strategy

India is the third largest oil importer in the world. New Delhi says its goal is to maintain affordable, sustainable and diverse energy supply. India currently buys oil from Saudi Arabia, America, Russia and United Arab Emirates. Meanwhile, a senior official of the Energy Ministry said that oil from Russia is proving to be the cheapest deal economically, hence India considers it a part of its energy security strategy.

India on Friday said three Bangladeshi nationals were killed while trying to steal cattle by crossing the Indian border and not by being beaten by a mob as claimed by Dhaka. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) clarified that the incident took place on October 15, about 3 kilometers inside the Indian border in Tripura.

Mob accused of murder
The Bangladesh government lodged a strong protest over the incident and alleged that three Bangladeshi nationals were lynched to death by a mob in Tripura. The Foreign Ministry of Bangladesh said in its statement that they condemn and protest against this incident that took place on 15 October 2025.

clash during theft
Rejecting Bangladesh’s allegations, India said that the three persons had entered Padmabil village with the intention of stealing cattle. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, they attacked the villagers with sharp iron weapons and knives, in which one villager died. After this the local people gathered and resisted the attackers.

The ministry said that two smugglers died on the spot, while the third died in the hospital. The bodies of the three have been handed over to Bangladesh and the police have registered a case and started investigation.

Tension in India-Bangladesh relations
This incident has happened at a time when relations between the two countries are already tense. Since the interim government of Nobel laureate Mohammad Yunus came to power in August 2024, the rhetoric between the two sides on the border dispute and other issues has intensified.

Need for security measures on the border
India has asked Bangladesh to take concrete steps to stop crime and smuggling on the border, so that the security and discipline of the international border is maintained. The Ministry of External Affairs has also supported measures like fencing.

Smuggling problem on Tripura border
Tripura shares a 856 km long border with Bangladesh. Cow smuggling and illegal infiltration have been a challenge in this area for a long time. Most parts of the border are fenced, yet smugglers sneak in and try to escape to avoid legal action.

It is noteworthy that in a clash between two parties in a border village of Khowai district in Tripura on Wednesday, three Bangladeshis who had come to steal cattle suspected to be dead and two residents of the state were injured.

The Ministry of External Affairs of India has issued an official statement on Thursday (October 16, 2025) regarding the ongoing conflict between Afghanistan and Pakistan. The Ministry of External Affairs has said that we are keeping a close eye on this matter.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, ‘Three things are clear on the tension between Pakistan and Afghanistan. The first thing is that Pakistan gives shelter to terrorist organizations and sponsors terrorist activities. Secondly, it is Pakistan’s old habit to blame its neighbors for its internal failures and thirdly, Pakistan is angry that Afghanistan is exercising sovereignty over its territories.

Emphasizing this, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that India is fully committed to the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Afghanistan.

India gave strong reaction to Pakistan’s allegations

There have been border clashes between Pakistan and Afghanistan twice in the same week. Pakistan has accused Afghanistan of giving shelter to terrorists. Apart from this, Pakistan has been indirectly blaming India for this conflict. To which now the Indian Foreign Ministry has given a strong reaction. The Ministry of External Affairs has said that it is a long-standing habit of Pakistan to blame its neighbors for its internal failures, especially for promoting and harboring terrorism.

The ministry also clarified that Pakistan should take responsibility for its own problems and not try to divert attention by making false allegations on neighboring countries.

17 people died in Afghanistan-Pakistan clash

Dozens of soldiers and civilians were killed in fresh border clashes between Afghanistan and Pakistan on Tuesday (October 14, 2025) night. At the same time, the United Nations Mission in Afghanistan said that on Wednesday (October 15, 2025), 17 people were killed and 346 people were injured in the air strikes carried out by the Pakistani Army in Afghanistan.

India on Thursday (September 11, 2025) urged their citizens not to accept proposals to join...

India on Thursday (September 11, 2025) urged their citizens not to accept proposals to join the Russian Army and demanded Moscow to stop recruiting Indian citizens in the Russian Army as assistant employees.

The Ministry of External Affairs (Mea) said that it has raised the matter before Russian officials at both Delhi and Moscow places. This step of New Delhi has come after reports that students and some Indians who came on commercial visa were forced to join Russian military units posted on the advance front of war in Ukraine.

Foreign Ministry spokesman gave information

The ministry has warned its Indian citizens not to accept proposals to join the Russian Army, as it contains risk and threats. Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said, ‘We have recently seen reports of recruitment of Indian citizens in the Russian Army. In the last one year, the government has underlined the risks and dangers contained in such action on several occasions and warned Indian citizens accordingly.

Jaiswal was answering media questions on this issue. He said, ‘We have also taken up the matter before Russian officials in both Delhi and Moscow places and requested that it be abolished and our citizens should be relieved. We are also in touch with the families of the affected Indian citizens. We once again urge all Indian citizens to stay away from any proposal to join the Russian Army, because this is a way full of dangers.

East of 126 Indian citizens were admitted to Russia’s army

The number of Indian citizens admitted by the Russian Army in recent months is not yet known. According to the official details, in the past 126 Indians were admitted to the Russian Army and 12 were killed. 96 Indians were relieved by Russian officials and 16 were declared missing.

India has expressed serious concern over recent news regarding the recruitment of Indian citizens in the Russian Army. Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said in response to media questions on Thursday (September 11, 2025) that the Government of India has underlined the risks and dangers associated with such recruitment several times in the last one year and advised Indian citizens to be careful about it.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said, “We have recently received reports of Indian citizens being admitted to the Russian Army. We have raised the issue with Russian officials in Delhi and Moscow, demanding to end this practice and release our citizens.”

‘Indians fraudulently sent to Russia-Ukraine war zone’
He also informed that the ministry is in touch with the families of the affected Indian citizens. The spokesperson made a strong appeal to Indian citizens to stay away from any proposal to join the Russian Army and termed it a ‘step full of dangers’. The statement came after the recent reports, which claimed that some Indian citizens were fraudulently sent to the Russia-Ukraine war zone.

Russia went on visitor visa
A major newspaper claimed that two Indian men in the Donnetsk region of Eastern Ukraine were brought to Russia on the pretext of construction, but were deployed on the war front. Talking on the phone to the city of Celidov, who was occupied by Russia in November 2024, he claimed that at least 13 other Indians were also trapped in similar circumstances.

According to the report, both of these Indians had gone to Russia on a student or visitor visa in the last 6 months. He alleged that an agent had promised him employment in the construction sector, but he was fraudulently sent him to the war area.
