Iran War Hormuz Update LPG Ship: Keeping an eye on the situation regarding supply and demand of essential commodities like gas, petrol and chemicals sector in the country, the Petroleum Ministry has shared important information. According to the ministry, continuous efforts are being made to maintain the smooth supply of LPG, under which more than 58 lakh domestic LPG cylinders were distributed in a single day. At the same time, the availability of commercial LPG has also increased to about 70 percent, due to which there is relief in the market.

The ministry said that 6700 tonnes of commercial LPG was sold in a day, which is equivalent to about 3.5 lakh cylinders, while about 1.06 lakh 5 kg cylinders were also sold. Apart from this, up to 95 percent supply of natural gas is being ensured for fertilizer plants and daily production of LPG has also reached 48,000 tonnes.

Medicine prices stable, LPG ship crosses Hormuz

At the same time, global supply in the chemical and fertilizer sector has been affected, due to which the raw materials of some medicines have been affected, but there has been no increase in the prices of medicines. It was told in the shipping update that on April 5, the ship carrying LPG has crossed the Strait of Hormuz, due to which further improvement in supply is expected.

Safe return of Indians advised – Ministry of External Affairs

The Ministry of External Affairs clarified that till now there has been no discussion between India and Iran regarding toll on Hormuz. The ministry also said that India has been providing energy products to Bangladesh for the last several years and at present about 7500 Indian citizens are present in Iran.

The Ministry said that in view of the current peace and ceasefire situation, Indian citizens can return to India through Armenia or Azerbaijan in a safe environment, while denying any comment regarding the Defense Minister of Pakistan.
