73 -year -old Harjit Kaur of Punjab, who has been living in America for 33 years, was recently sent to India. He has alleged that he was misbehaved during arrest and departure. They were not given enough food and medicines. Kaur is currently staying at her sister’s house in Mohali.

Beef served despite being vegetarian
Harjeet Kaur said that she was given such food during custody in America, which she could not eat. He told the media, ‘I am a vegetarian, but I was served beef. So I could not even eat.

Arrest and travel experience
Kaur said that he was arrested on 8 September. He was first taken to Frazno, then kept 8–10 days in the bakersfield. After this he was sent to Arizona and from there he was seated in a Delhi flight. He said, ‘The flight was about 18-19 hours. From there my brother -in -law came to pick me up.

Flight only chips and cookies
He was not given medication or nutritious food in the Deportation Flight. Kaur said, ‘Only a few chips and two cookies were given. No medicine was given. He said that now his future depends on the decisions of his children. Kaur said, ‘I can’t do anything myself.’ However, she also said that she would like to return to America because her entire family is there.

Kaur was with other Deputy
Kaur said that he was sent along with 132 others, including 15 Colombian citizens. Although the rest of the people were tied in handcuffs and fetters, they were not handcuffed in view of their age and condition.

The lawyer told more problems
Kaur’s lawyer Deepak Ahluwalia said that before the Deputy, Kaur was not even given a chance to meet her family. He was kept in a temporary center in Georgia, where he had to sleep by putting a blanket on the ground for 60-70 hours. ‘His double knee transplant surgery has been done, so he had trouble getting up and sitting. He did not even get a chance to bathe, ‘the lawyer said.

Long journey in America
Harjeet Kaur went to America in 1992 with her two sons as a single mother. In 2012, his refugee case case was rejected. Despite this, she continued to attend the Immigration Office (ICE) in San Francisco every six months for 13 years. His daughter -in -law Manji Kaur said, “He followed the rules, but still he was noticed without meeting the family.”
