Along with this, in Section 351, if the threat is to harm a person’s body, reputation or property, then there is a provision of imprisonment of up to 2 years, fine or both. If the threat is serious enough, such as causing death or serious injury, the punishment can be up to 7 years and the fine can also increase.

2. End of election process The code of conduct remains in force until the election and vote counting is completed. After this, as soon as the result of the election is announced, the code of conduct is removed.

Apart from this, there is no fixed answer to how many days after the code of conduct comes into force, because voting often starts 3-6 weeks after this announcement. But sometimes it takes more time.
