Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Israel on Wednesday (25 February 2026) on a two-day visit. This visit of PM Modi is taking place at a time when the possibility of another war in the Middle East has deepened amid American threats. After reaching Israel, PM Modi said, ‘I look forward to bilateral discussions and meaningful results that will strengthen India-Israel friendship.’

Why is Pakistan scared of PM Modi’s visit?

There is currently anger in Islamic countries due to Israel’s action in Gaza. On the other hand, US President Donald Trump is threatening daily military action against Iran. In such a situation, a double conflict may break out in the Middle East. Pakistani media is calling this visit of PM Modi as an alarm bell for itself. Pakistani newspaper Dawn wrote, ‘Diplomatic relations between India and Israel were restored in 1992. After PM Modi came to power, both the countries came closer to each other.

Dawn wrote that during Operation Sindoor last year, Israel used its drone technology as a defense strategy against Pakistan. Pakistani TV channel Geo News did a show about PM Modi’s visit to Israel, the title of which was, ‘PM Modi’s visit to Israel is an alarm bell for Pakistan.’ Netanyahu had mentioned the Hexagon Alliance before PM Modi’s visit, about which Pakistani media is expressing concern.

Fear in Islamic countries due to Netanyahu’s statement

Netanyahu described the fundamentalist Shia and Sunni axis as a threat. He talked about forming a group with India, Greece, Cyprus and some Arab, Asian and African countries. The Parliament of Pakistan had passed a resolution against this statement of Netanyahu on Tuesday (24 February 2026).

Middle East Monitor wrote, ‘Since 2018, India has started looking at its relations with Israel separately from Palestine. Even though India supports Palestine as a nation, it is also deepening its partnership with Israel. India appealed for humanitarian aid and ceasefire in Gaza, but distanced itself from UN resolutions demanding immediate ceasefire.

Reaction of media of Islamic countries

Al Jazeera wrote, ‘There has been a change in India-Israel relations since Narendra Modi became Prime Minister in 2014. India is Israel’s second largest trading partner in Asia after China. Under the leadership of Narendra Modi, India has become Israel’s biggest weapon. Both countries consider Islamic terrorism as a major threat. India supported the resolution criticizing Israel’s actions in the West Bank, but initially showed hesitation.

PM Modi had earlier visited Israel in July 2017. As per PM Modi’s fixed schedule, he will also address the Knesset (Israeli Parliament). He will be the first Indian Prime Minister to do so. He will also participate in the programs of the Indian community and will also be a part of the technology exhibition.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will undertake a two-day visit to Israel on 25 and 26 February. In this meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Prime Minister Modi, the progress made in the strategic partnership between the two countries will be reviewed. PM Modi visits Israel after 9 years

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Israel after almost 9 years. He will leave for Jerusalem from the capital Delhi on the morning of 25 February. He will meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the evening of 25 February. Both the leaders will also have dinner together. There will be a meeting with the delegation on 26th February. The Prime Minister will also meet Israeli President Isaac Herzog. This is PM Modi’s second visit to Israel. Earlier he had gone to Israel in July 2017.

Israeli PM ready to welcome

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also seems eager to host Prime Minister Narendra Modi. By posting on social media platform X, he had mentioned strong relations with India and called PM Modi his closest friend. In return, Prime Minister Modi also mentioned the close relations between India and Israel and said that he was eager to visit Israel.

The proposal to transfer the technology of ‘Iron Dome’ air defense system may be approved. The success rate of Iron Dome is considered to be 90 percent.
