Nathuram Godse shot and killed the President Mahatma Gandhi on 30 January 1948 after the country got independence from the British. After the assassination of Gandhiji, there was a wave of mourning not only in the country but all over the world. Mohammad Ali Jinnah, who demanded Pakistan on the assassination of Gandhiji, the priest of Ahimsa, also expressed grief in Jinnah. Jinnah had said, ‘The world has lost a great person.’

The next day of Gandhiji’s assassination, Jinnah recalled his contribution to his condolence message and described him as a ‘great person’. Although there were sharp ideological differences on the issue of partition between Jinnah and Gandhi, Jinnah described Gandhi’s assassination as a serious and tragic incident. The Government of Pakistan officially mourned on this occasion and appealed to the people to maintain peace.

Mohammad Ali Jinnah gave condolence message

Jinnah had expressed condolences and said, ‘I am in shock that Mahatma Gandhi was attacked in which he has passed away. Regardless of our political differences, they were the great people and leaders born in the Hindu community, which the Hindu community had full faith.

Jinnah further said, ‘I want to express my deep sorrow, I express deep sympathy to the great Hindu community and their families at this important, historical and critical turn immediately after the independence of India and Pakistan. The loss of dominance of India is irreplaceable and it will be very difficult to fill the zero generated by the death of such a great person at this time.

Jinnah’s criticism over the word ‘Hindu’

However, Jinna was also criticized for addressing Mahatma Gandhi by adding the word ‘Hindu’ in the statement. Jinnah also paid tribute to him after the death of Mahatma Gandhi. Jinnah’s tribute was also important because Bapu was against Pakistan Partition and he was also ready to retreat the Congress and make Jinnah the first government.

Liaquat Ali Khan also expressed mourning

Let me tell you that not only Jinnah, in the session of 4 February 1948, House leader Liaquat Ali Khan also mourned about the death of Mahatma Gandhi. He said, ‘I have stood up to talk about Gandhiji’s death with deep grief. He was one of the great men of our time.

He finished his speech saying, ‘We hope and pray that whatever Gandhiji could not achieve in his lifetime, it should be completed after his death, that is, peace and harmony should be established between various nations living in this subcontinent.’

The British divided India into two parts after ruling about 200 years. One part of it was India and the other Pakistan. Every year on August 14, Pakistan celebrates its Independence Day, on the other hand, ‘Partition Vibhisika Memorial Day’ is celebrated in India on this day and the partition of India is remembered. Many people are held responsible for the partition of India and Pakistan, one of them is Mohammad Ali Jinnah. Jinnah has got the status of Father of the Nation in Pakistan. However, the purpose of which Jinnah had divided India did not succeed and Jinnah died due to a serious illness. Let us tell you what disease Mohammad Ali Jinnah died and how much was his weight at the time of death.

Which disease did Jinnah die?

Pakistan founder Mohammad Ali Jinnah died a year after becoming Pakistan. He was in the grip of serious illness for a long time. It was a serious illness and nothing, TB disease. Today, even though TB, also called tuberculosis, has been controlled, but TB disease was very dangerous at that time. Jinnah had this disease, Jinnah and a few people knew about it, that is, Jinnah had completely hidden his disease from the people. Even his sister did not know about his disease. On 11 September 1948, when Mohammad Ali Jinnah was being brought from Quetta to Karachi, his ambulance petrol was over on the way. His condition deteriorated in this way and in a few hours of reaching Karachi, Mohammad Ali Jinnah said goodbye to the world. However, there is a lot of controversy on this. Many people still question Jinnah’s death.

How much was Jinnah weight at the time of death?

There is no official data available about how much Jinnah was at the time of death. However, in all the information available on the Internet, it has been mentioned that Jinnah’s weight was around 36 kg at the time of death. His condition had deteriorated due to illness. Jinnah had a very short time and he was unable to take time for himself in Bhagdaur. This was the reason that Jinnah could never get regular treatment of his TB disease.

How dangerous was TB disease?

In the 1940s to 1950s, TB (Tuberculosis) was considered one of the most dangerous diseases in the world, and at that time millions of people were losing their lives every year. There was no sure cure for it at that time, so it was also called ‘Silent Killer’. The situation was worse in countries like India, because due to poverty, congestion and malnutrition, it spread rapidly. There was no effective drug-based treatment of TB before 1940 and in the early 1940s.

Mohammad Ali Jinnah is called Qaid-e-Azam in Pakistan. He has an important role in making Pakistan a separate country. Mohammad Ali Jinnah is considered the founder of Pakistan. During independence, Jinnah had talked about creating a separate country on the basis of religion, hence Pakistan was built. Today we take you about Mohammad Ali Jinnah and the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru, knows what Jawaharlal Nehru said at the time of Jinnah’s death.

When did Jinnah die?

Pakistan was formed on 14 August 1947 when India was divided into two parts and a new nation was born. Mohammad Ali Jinnah became the first Governor General of Pakistan but he died very soon. Jinnah died in Karachi on 11 September 1948, about a year after Pakistan’s formation. Jinnah was seriously ill at that time. He was suffering from TB disease, but he kept his illness secret. His death gave a deep blow to Pakistan.

Jawaharlal Nehru expressed condolences

This was the period when the tragedy of Partition of India and Pakistan gave deep wounds to both countries. Jinnah thought of creating a Muslim country. Jawaharlal Nehru became his theoretical enemy. While Nehru and Jinnah were opposed to each other, both of them were also a very popular leader of their country. Both did not consider each other’s way according to themselves. Both were very different personalities. The news of Jinnah’s death stunned not only Pakistan, but also India. At that time, the tension between India and Pakistan was at its peak, yet Nehru expressed deep condolences on Jinnah’s death.

What did Nehru say?

On this sad incident, India’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru said, ‘Mohammad Ali Jinnah was an extraordinary personality. There were deep differences between his thoughts and us, but no one can deny his commitment and leadership. There is no bitterness for Jinnah in my mind, it is deeply sad for what happened ‘.

Mohammad Ali Jinnah known as the founder of Pakistan. Jinnah has played an important role in making Pakistan a separate country. During independence, Jinnah had talked about creating a separate country on the basis of religion, hence Pakistan was built. In such a situation, let us know how many days after becoming Pakistan, he said goodbye to this world.

Who was Jinnah?

Jinnah had demanded partition from India to create a separate country for Muslims. For this reason, Jinnah is given the status of President in Pakistan. But he himself was born in a Hindu family who later became Muslims. Let us know that Pakistan was formed on 14 August 1947 when India was divided and a new nation was born. Mohammad Ali Jinnah is called ‘Quaid-Azam’ in Pakistan and ‘Baba-e-Kom’. Jinnah became the first Governor General of this new country. But he died very soon.

When was the world died of Jinnah?

Jinnah died on 11 September 1948 in Karachi. This means that Jinnah died almost a year after becoming Pakistan. Jinnah was seriously ill at that time. He was suffering from TB disease, but he kept his illness secret. On 11 September 1948, Jinnah was being brought from Quetta to Karachi. During this time, the petrol of his ambulance ended in the middle way, which worsened his condition. He died a few hours after reaching Karachi. His death gave a deep shock to Pakistan, as he was playing an important role in stabilizing the country at that time.

Why dispute over Jinnah’s death?

After the death of Jinnah, there was a dispute about his religion. When he died, the question arose whether he should be done in ways of burial Shias or Sunnis. Although he was originally Ismaili, it is said to adopt Shia Islam later. Both Shia and Sunni traditions were followed in his funeral.

Atrocities on ahmedia Muslims in Pakistan: In Pakistan, once again the face of religious oppression against minority Ahmedia Muslims has come to light. On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha in Pakistan, pictures have been revealed from many parts of the country, in which the people of Ahmadiyya community were not only arrested for offering Eid prayers, but the police confiscated the animals after sacrificing on the occasion of Eid.

It can be clearly seen in the photographs revealed from the Bagbanpura area of Lahore, Pakistan near ABP News, that on the prayers of Eid ul Adha, the Bagbanpura police first came out of the mosque and arrested dozens of Ahmadia Muslims and then arrested them by sitting in vehicles. The only crime of these Ahmadiyas Muslims was that he was reciting Namaz on the occasion of Eid ul Adha.

Clushed in the mosque with the arrest of people of Ahmedia community

It can also be seen in the pictures that the Bagbanpura police arrested the Ahmadiya Muslims on the occasion of Eid, along with arresting Ahmadiya Muslims and also locked the mosque in which Ahmadia Muslims were reciting Namaz. With this, when the police of Pakistan Ahmadiyya was persecuting Muslims, at the same time Pakistan’s radical party Tehreek-e-Labback Pakistan (TLP) workers were shouting slogans.

Action against Ahmedia Muslims in many parts of Pakistan

The inhuman and radical face of the Pakistan police against Muslims like Lahore was also seen in Silanwali town of Sargodha district, where the police had received information that an Ahmadiyya family had sacrificed on the occasion of Eid. In such a situation, the radical police of Pakistan immediately reached the house of the person who sacrificed and seized the animal of sacrifice and took it into his car. Not only this, Tehreek-e-Labback Pakistan (TLP) activists and local police raided a house and took similar action in Karachi.

Jinnah had shown dreams to Ahmadiyya Muslims, could not be fulfilled till date

In fact, Pakistan founder Mohammad Ali Jinnah had shown the dream to Ahmadiyya Muslims 80 years ago that the discrimination of them would be overcome when Pakistan became, but just 27 years after Pakistan’s formation, the Parliament of Pakistan had declared the second constitution in the reign of Zulfiller Ali Bhutto in 1974 and declared Ahmadia Muslims as non-Muslims and did not feel like Pakistan’s fifth leaders did not feel like Pakistan in 1984. Under the ‘Ordinance XX’ of the then dictator General Zia-ul-Haq, it was a crime for Ahmadiyya Muslims to follow Islamic beliefs, festivals and customs.

Under this law, the Ahmadiyya community can be punished for up to three years and fined for offering Namaz to the Ahmadiyya community, using Islamic greetings “As-Salam-Alakum”, even calling himself a Muslim. Like every year, this time too, on the occasion of Eid ul Azha, the Ahmadiyya community was kept away from Eid prayers and customs in violation of the basic rights of religious freedom.

Jinnah house: Pakistan founder Mohammad Ali Jinnah built a magnificent bungalow in Malabar Hill area of Mumbai in 1936, named ‘South Court’. This is a storey and beautiful villa, which is now being renovated. The final approval of the Ministry of External Affairs (Mea) is being awaited for this work. According to the TOI report, the Ministry of External Affairs wants to make this bungalow a special diplomatic enclave.

The Mumbai Heritage Conservation Committee (MHCC) approved the repair of this heritage site (Grade II A Heritage Site) in August 2023. The Ministry of External Affairs has assigned this work to the Central Public Works Department (CPWD), and he has appointed Sir JJ College of Architecture as advisor to this project. Interestingly, Jinnah’s house with this art deco style was designed by Cloud Batley, who was the head of the Architecture Department at the JJ School of Arts at that time.

ICCR decided to hand over the Ministry of External Affairs in 2018

In 2018, the Prime Minister’s Office decided that this bungalow, known as ‘Jinnah House’, would be handed over from the Indian Cultural Relations Council (ICCR) to the Ministry of External Affairs. In 2017, the then Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj wrote a letter to Malabar Hill MLA Mangal Prabhat Lodha. In it, he had told that the Ministry of External Affairs will repair and decorate this bungalow like Hyderabad House in Delhi.

There may be many internal changes in Jinnah House

According to the documents received by TOI, the proposal made to the Mumbai Heritage Conservation Committee (MHCC) has been said to use and make changes of Jinnah House (about 39,000 sq ft bungalow). It has been said in this proposal that the bungalow will be converted into an office from the place of living and it will also have necessary repairs, changes and gardening work.

Documents states that this work includes removal of plants, plaster, painting, doors, windows and ventilaters repair and renovation. Along with this, strong repair of the bungalow, mason work, re -construction of front stairs, new beams and columns and increasing the place by removing the inner walls on the first floor. All these works will be done without damaging the specialty of heritage.

Heritage Committee visited in 2023

When the Heritage Committee visited the site in the mid -2023, he advised that old furniture, chandeliers, fittings and other items should be repaired and used again. He also said that the boundary wall of the bungalow should be made of stone as before so that it matches the old design.

People associated with the project say that all the necessary approvals and schemes are ready, but now the final green signal is awaited from the central government so that the work can be started. According to the documents, the Ministry of External Affairs (Mea) has not yet made any change in any part of the bungalow nor demanded much construction. But it has been said that some beauty changes can be made inside to show India’s identity, history and culture.

Jinnah’s only daughter filed a petition

Jinnah’s only daughter Dina Wadia filed a petition in the Bombay High Court in 2007 to get ownership of this property. After his death, the court allowed his son Nusli Wadia to advance the petition. Jinnah House is considered to be the “Evacuee Property” i.e. the property of the person who has left India after March 1, 1947 and went to Pakistan.

Pakistan Islamic Republic: On 15 August 1947, India emerged on the world map as an independent country. After independence from the British, India came out as a nation. However, on the demand of the Muslim League led by Mohammad Ali Jinnah, a separate country was formed for Muslims, causing two pieces to India. Pakistan was declared independent on 14 August 1947, a day before India. Ever since Pakistan has become independent, there is no improvement in the situation there.

Pakistan has been a secular country for a long time

Pakistan had been a secular country for a long time after becoming independent. Mohammad Ali Jinnah lived only 13 months after the formation of Pakistan. Law Minister was a Hindu during his tenure. Nearly 9 years after independence, on 23 March 1956, it was officially named the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. With this, Islam was declared the official religion of Pakistan. After the formation of Pakistan, Jinnah himself was confused about what he needed in Muslim or democracy nation.

Since the independence of Pakistan, the minorities have been persecuted. In the last few days, many reports of attacks on other minorities including Hindu in Pakistan have come out. Not only this, the number of minorities in Pakistan is constantly becoming less.

Constitution crushed several times in neighboring country

Even after Pakistan got the constitution, it was crushed several times. The political tussle continued even after getting the first constitution in the neighboring country. In 1958, the first President of Pakistan Iskander Mirza suspended the constitution of the country and imposed martial law. According to the BBC report, according to writer and analyst Latif Hamdani, after Mohammad Ali Jinnah, those who took power in Pakistan did not have the power of votes, so he resorted to Islam.

Hindus are the largest minority in Pakistan in terms of population. Incidents of forced conversion of Hindu girls in Sindh region often occur. According to the BBC report, Raj Kumar, president of Quetta Hindu Panchayat, has demanded that if morality is taught instead of Islamic education in schools, it will be better.
