RJD’s MLC and Rabri Devi’s mouthpiece Sunil Singh previously lived in the new duplex flat. This house was allotted in his name only. Presently Sunil Singh’s people live here. When Anant Singh became MLA for the first time in 2005, he was allotted a bungalow on Mall Road. This bungalow is quite big. It has two big grounds. Anant Singh is very fond of horses, cows and buffaloes. All these pets are still present in this bungalow.

Convoy of vehicles will not be allowed in the new residence

On Wednesday (December 10, 2025), the ABP News team reached the new residence. Just by looking at it, it became clear that this duplex flat is quite small. There are 8 to 10 vehicles in Anant Singh’s convoy and the bungalow which has just been found will not be able to accommodate so many vehicles. There is provision for parking of one car. The question of keeping cattle is far away.

There is a board of his wife Neelam Devi outside the old bungalow that Anant Singh got in 2005. Because before this his wife Neelam Devi was the MLA of Mokama. When Anant Singh was convicted in the 1-47 case and lost his membership, his wife Neelam Devi won from Mokama in the by-election.

Even at that time, a new residence was allotted to Neelam Devi, but she was living in the old bungalow (on Mall Road). Did not move to new residence. Now it remains to be seen whether Anant Singh moves into the new house allotted to him or not. In the past too, many MLAs and ministers have kept two residences each.

Anant Singh, a powerful leader of Bihar and a strong candidate of Janata Dal United (JDU) from Mokama assembly seat, has registered a landslide victory in the results of Bihar elections. A huge pandal is being built… one lakh people will eat the feast.

Tents have started being made with the help of bamboo sticks in the grounds of the Government House. Looking at it, it seemed that a huge pandal was to be built. Brahmapur (Buxar District)

Hulas Pandey (LJP – Ram Vilas) – Brother of Bahubali leader Sunil Pandey.

• 2023 – CBI had filed a charge sheet against him in a sensational murder case of 2012.
• Hulas Pandey’s controversial past also includes his involvement in the Brahmeshwar Mukhiya murder case.
• 2024 – The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had raided the properties of former State Council member Hulas Pandey in the disproportionate assets case.
• Hulas Pandey is the brother of former JDU MLA Sunil Pandey, who is considered a strong leader in Bihar politics.

• Being a member of the syndicate, Radha Charan Sah earned huge amount of criminal income through M/s Broadsons Commodities Private Limited, which was involved in illegal sale of sand.

Lalganj (Vaishali District)

• Shivani Shukla (RJD) – Daughter of Bahubali Munna Shukla
• Shivani’s father Vijay Kumar Shukla, popularly known as Munna Shukla, has been a three-time MLA.
• His ‘bahubali’ father is in jail on charges of murder of former minister Brij Bihari.

Manjhi (Saran District)

• Randhir Kumar Singh (JDU) – son of Bahubali Prabhunath Singh.
• Son of former RJD MP Prabhunath Singh (also in various political parties)
• Prabhunath Singh is currently serving life imprisonment in a murder case.
• On 23 May 2017, Prabhunath Singh was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Hazaribagh court in the case of murder of MLA Ashok Singh 22 years ago.

Tarari (Bhojpur district)

• Vishal Prashant (BJP) – son of powerful MLA Sunil Pandey.
• His father Sunil Pandey was a powerful leader who had a doctorate degree. He has been MLA from Bhojpur district four times and has been given the credit of winning elections four times.
• Sunil Pandey has been involved in several criminal cases over the years, including murder, extortion and kidnapping.
• He is also accused of giving contract for the murder of Mukhtar Ansari, a criminal who has recently entered the politics of Uttar Pradesh.

Baniyapur (Saran District)

• Kedarnath Singh (BJP) – Brother of Bahubali Prabhunath Singh.
• Total cases in 2025 – Severe IPC: 11, Severe BNS: 0, Other IPC: 14, Other BNS: 0
• Prabhunath Singh is currently serving a life sentence in a murder case

Sandesh (Bhojpur District)

• Deepu Singh (RJD) – son of Bahubali MLA Arun Yadav.
• Deepu is the son of current Sandesh MLA Kiran Devi and former MLA Arun Yadav.
• His father Arun Yadav had 13 criminal cases registered against him including murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping and extortion.
• Arun Kumar Yadav is accused of raping a minor girl in Arrah on 18 July 2019.

Voting for the first phase of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 started today with great enthusiasm and peaceful atmosphere. In this phase, voters are exercising their franchise in Madhepura, Saharsa, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Vaishali, Samastipur, Begusarai, Khagaria, Munger, Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura, Nalanda, Patna, Bhojpur and Buxar districts.

The Election Commission has given priority to technology and security in the first phase of voting. 100% webcasting has been arranged at each booth, and voters can directly view their voting information through the new Voter Information Slip (VIS) and EVM Net App. For the first phase, 121 general observers, 18 police observers and 33 expenditure observers have been deployed. Special security surveillance has been maintained in rural areas, so that voting can be conducted fairly and smoothly.

According to voter data, Digha assembly constituency has the maximum number of voters registered at 4,57,657, while Barbigha has the least number of voters at 2,31,998. In terms of area, Bankipur is the smallest (16.239 square kilometer) and Suryagarha is the largest (62.247 square kilometer) assembly constituency.

The Commission has made extensive use of technology to maintain transparency in the election process. Voters can confirm their franchise through EVM Net App and VIS and get complete information about the voting process.

In the first phase of Bihar Assembly elections 2025, the fate of many famous and big candidates will be decided in Electronic Voting Machine (EVM). This list includes Grand Alliance’s Chief Ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, and Vijay Sinha. Apart from this, folk singer Maithili Thakur, Bhojpuri film star Khesari Lal Yadav, Janashakti Janata Dal’s Tej Pratap Yadav, Janata Dal (United) state president Umesh Kushwaha and Bhola Yadav will also compete for their votes in this phase.

Special attention is on Alinagar assembly seat, where Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded folk singer Maithili Thakur as its candidate. His contest is against Vinod Mishra of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).

The first phase of voting for the formation of the 18th Assembly in Bihar is on 6 November 2025, Thursday. In this election, a close contest is being considered between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) led Grand Alliance (MGB). Talking about NDA, along with BJP are Janata Dal United (JDU) led by CM Nitish Kumar, Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) headed by Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas- LJP-R) led by Union Minister Chirag Paswan. In the Grand Alliance, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Indian National Congress (Congress), Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) and Left parties are together.

JDU leader Lalan Singh said, “The poor is a voter of Nitish Kumar. He is our voter. So will we not protect our voters? Will we not encourage our voters? If you intimidate and threaten our voters then we are also a political party… We will encourage, right? Not to be afraid but to vote? The Election Commission also does this.”

The Union Minister said, “We want to ask a question to RJD… the way in the funeral procession of Dularchand Yadav, abuses were used by pointing out a particular caste and both the candidates of RJD were sitting in that vehicle, in their presence some society was singled out and abused, the video of which is viral in entire Bihar. Why is RJD not reacting on this? Does RJD want to bring the same rule as it was during the time of their father? There is rule of law in Nitish Kumar’s rule. We “Everyone respects the law.”

Senior JDU leader and Union Minister Lalan Singh addressed the people in Mokama last Monday (November 03, 2025) in support of JDU candidate Anant Singh. During this time he made such a statement that the political temperature has risen. There are attackers from Congress to RJD. Clarification given by JDU on the statement

After Lalan Singh’s statement went viral, Nitish Kumar’s party has come to the rescue. JDU spokesperson Neeraj Kumar said that Lalan Singh has spoken about a leader and has not taken anyone’s name. There is a style of speaking in election campaign and in the same sequence, there has been talk of house arrest. Those voters who are unable to do so may have been asked to take them along. If the opposition is making Mokama the focal point, then Lalu Yadav is a convicted person, then why did he go to campaign for Ritlal Yadav?

Manoj Jha attacked the Prime Minister

On the question that Lalan Singh has said that the voters who are becoming leaders in Mokama should not be allowed to come out, RJD leader Manoj Jha said, “Ask the Prime Minister why he gets tied up. They tell stories of Jungle Raj and become silent here. Why is the Election Commission silent?”

A case of violation of model code of conduct has come to light during a road show organized in Mokama assembly constituency on Monday (November 03, 2025) regarding Bihar Assembly elections (2025). Taking action in this regard, Patna Police has registered a case against the organizers of the program.

According to information received from Patna Police, Union Minister Lalan Singh and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary had conducted a road show in Mokama in support of JDU candidate Anant Singh. During this period, more vehicles were used in the campaign than allowed, which was considered a violation of the model code of conduct set by the Election Commission.

Anant Singh was arrested on the night of 1 November

After appearing in the court, he was sent to jail on Sunday (November 2, 2025). Lalan Singh will campaign for JDU in Mokama today (Monday).
