For example, in Mumbai, in June, about 1200 mm of rain has been recorded so far, which is slightly higher than normal. Delhi received about 200 mm of rain, which remained close to the normal level. The monsoon started slow in Kolkata but till the beginning of July, more than 500 mm of rain has been received.

IMD releases reports like Daily Rainfall Report, Weekly Weather Summary and Monsoon Update every day. This information is delivered to the public through the website of the Meteorological Department, mobile app and news agencies.
