A BLO engaged in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign of voter list in Moradabad committed suicide by hanging himself in a room of his house last night (29-30 November), his body was found hanging from the fan in the room. Police also found a suicide note near the body in which the reason for committing suicide was said to be not being able to meet the target of SIR.

It was told that the name of the deceased was Sarvesh Singh who was posted at booth number 406 of Zahidpur Sikampur village of Bhagatpur police station area. The family alleged that Sarvesh was assigned duty as a BLO without any training and he was constantly being pressurized due to which he committed suicide.

3 page suicide note written in the name of BEO

Before committing suicide, teacher Sarvesh Singh (46) wrote a 3-page suicide note addressed to the Basic Education Officer (District Election Officer), in which he talked about being troubled by the SIR. In the suicide note, he wrote, “I am working day and night, yet I am not able to achieve the target of SIR. The night is very difficult and spent in worry. I am able to sleep only for 2 to 3 hours.”

‘BLO is troubled due to pressure’

Hearing the news of Sarvesh Singh’s death, his fellow teachers also reached his house, many of whom were on duty as BLOs and super-visors. He said that the forms of many people have not been submitted yet, while the pressure from officers is increasing, which is why BLOs are worried due to less time.

At the same time, family members say that Sarvesh Singh was under a lot of pressure regarding the SIR. He had kept about 80 firms somewhere and had forgotten that they were not being found. He was also worried about that, although his nephew Jitendra Kumar was helping him in this work and his wife also helped him. Everyone used to tell him not to take so much stress but Sarvesh took such a step.

Family members demanded Rs 1 crore compensation and government job

Sarvesh’s mother Somati told that her son used to get calls for SIR till 2 am in the night and he was very worried. At the same time, the wife of the deceased told that guests had come to the house but Sarvesh had not even eaten food properly. The family says that we want justice. Now Sarvesh’s family is demanding compensation of Rs 1 crore and a government job for his wife.

DM said- Police is investigating the matter

District Officer Anuj Singh says that Sarvesh Singh was doing good work as BLO. He had digitized about 67% of his task forms, which is much better than average. Apart from this, a staff from Anganwadi was also deployed to help them. In such a situation, it is beyond comprehension that there was any pressure on him for the SIR work. But, a suicide note has been found on the spot, from which this thing is coming to light. The police is investigating the entire matter.

There was an uproar on the Delhi Lucknow National Highway 9 in Moradabad when a young man was taking a court marriage from Rudrapur in Uttarakhand and taking the bride home with him. There was also a woman who married the bride in the car, on the way, the bride and her fellow woman stopped the car on the pretext of defecation and started running down.

When the groom and his associates in the car caught both of them, there was an uproar, the police was called and the police took the fugitive bride and his fellow woman to the police station. The police is questioning the arrested accused. People suspect that both these women may be members of a robbery bride gang.

The court was carrying the bride and taking home

After this, Anuj Singh caught the bride Pooja Kaur and Manju Singh in the car from the boy side after running away. Both women then assaulted Anuj Singh of the boy side. During this time, the groom and his companions riding the car reached the spot and caught the two women. Anuj Singh informed the police through Dial 112.

Dial 112 police team reached the spot and took the bride Pooja Kaur and Bijolia Manju into custody. The police team is intensively interrogating both women. However, both women are not able to tell their address and the entire episode correctly.

Police is questioning both women

At the same time, Anuj Singh of the groom’s side told that Pooja Kaur was prepared for the court marriage by a middleman Manju, a middleman Manju. In Rudrapur, he was taking the court to take the bride home. When these people reached Mundapande Delhi Lucknow Highway Ganesh Ghat, both women jumped from the car and started running away. The injured died during treatment

According to the information, a woman gave an application to Senior Superintendent of Police Moradabad and told that her son had gone to Brajghat water in Sawan. On the way, the police station was an accident in the district of Amroha area. After this, the police station Didoli police admitted the injured to TMU Hospital and informed the Pakbada police. The young man died during treatment.

Police accused of performing the last rites without identification

It is alleged that the Pakbada police did not make any serious effort to identify the deceased and search for the family and performed the last rites as unclaimed.

Later, when the family members came to light, the police said that the deceased’s mother gives a written consent not to take any action. The woman refused this and reached the SSP with the whole matter. The SSP was also shocked as soon as he got complete information about the incident.

During the public hearing, he took immediate action and shifted the line to Pakbada Inspector Vinod Kumar, SSI Surendra Singh, Kasba Outpost Izhar Ali, Daroga Vishal Chaudhary, Head Moharrir Amit Kumar and women constable Priya.

Senior Superintendent of Police told serious negligence
