The unwanted record of giving the most runs in an over in T20 International cricket is in the name of Vanuatu bowler Nalin Nipiko. He gave 39 runs in one over against Samoa in the 2024 T20 World Cup East Asia-Pacific Region Qualifier.

In this over, Samoan batsman Darius Visser had scored 36 runs, 3 runs were extra. He hit 3 sixes in the first 3 balls. The fourth ball became a no ball. He again hit a six on the fourth legal delivery, the fifth ball was dot. Nalin Nipiko bowled the sixth ball as a no ball, the next ball was again a no ball on which Darius hit a six. The batsman hit another six on the last legal delivery. In this way, a total of 39 runs were scored in this over.

Stuart Broad at number two

Although this unwanted record was in the name of Stuart Broad for 17 years before 2024, he had given away 36 runs in one over to Yuvraj Singh in the 2007 T20 World Cup. Yuvi had hit 6 sixes in this over, in which he completed his fifty in 12 balls. This is still the second fastest fifty in T20 International.
