The campaign for Datia Assembly by-election has now gained full momentum. On Sunday (July 26), Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, while addressing a huge public meeting organized in support of BJP candidate Ashutosh Tiwari in Basai, Datia, made a sharp attack on Congress. He said that the state president of Congress is not even questioned in his own party. This party works to spread confusion and cannot do any good to the public.

Shivraj Singh Chauhan claimed, “BJP’s historic victory in the Datia assembly by-election is certain and on July 30, the public will press the lotus button and vote in favor of development.” Madhya Pradesh government minister Prahlad Singh Patel and BJP candidate Ashutosh Tiwari also addressed the public meeting.

Shivraj Singh Chauhan targeted Congress

Addressing a public meeting in Basai, Shivraj Singh Chauhan said, “During the Congress rule, there was terror of dacoits in the Gwalior-Chambal region and kidnapping had become an industry.” During that time, after becoming the Chief Minister, we had resolved that either there will be dacoits in the state or Shivraj Singh Chauhan, both cannot live together. After this, a massive campaign was launched against the dacoits.” The Union Minister alleged that during the Congress rule, the roads in the state were in bad shape, there was a huge problem of electricity and water and the education system was also weak.

‘Madhya Pradesh is moving ahead at a new pace of development’

The Union Minister further said, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is moving towards a developed India, while under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Madhya Pradesh is moving forward at a new pace of development. Works like Medical College, Veterinary College, Fisheries College in Datia, upgrading of hospitals and development of Pitambara Peeth area are the contribution of BJP government. He also mentioned the development works done during the tenure of former minister Dr. Narottam Mishra.

‘Centre’s aim is to create 6 crore lakhpati didis across the country’

Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, houses have been sanctioned to lakhs of poor families in the state and new eligible beneficiaries will also be given the benefits of the scheme. He said that the government’s aim is no longer limited to just Laadli Brahmin Yojana, but to make women financially self-reliant and make them ‘Lakhpati Didi’. The aim of the Central Government is now to create 6 crore Lakhpati Didis across the country.

VB-Ji Ram Ji Yojana called a boon for villages

The Union Minister said that through the ‘VB-Ji Ram Ji’ scheme of the Central Government, funds will be made available on a large scale to the Gram Panchayats for development works. According to him, in the coming years, each Gram Panchayat of Datia Assembly can get an average development amount of up to crores of rupees, which will expand the basic facilities in the villages.

Votes sought in favor of Ashutosh Tiwari

Shivraj Singh Chauhan praised the organizational and administrative ability of BJP candidate Ashutosh Tiwari and said that he successfully performed the responsibilities as Organization Minister and Housing Board Chairman. He appealed to the public to vote in favor of the lotus flower on July 30 and make BJP victorious with an overwhelming majority.

Prahlad Singh Patel also addressed

Madhya Pradesh government minister Prahlad Singh Patel said, “The people of Datia have got the opportunity to elect their public representative again.” He alleged that the development of the area could not get the expected pace during the tenure of the Congress MLA. Appealing to the voters to make the BJP candidate victorious with a huge majority, he said that the Central and State governments together are committed to the all-round development of Datia.
