A very painful case of dumper accident has come to light from Madhya Pradesh. In fact, a horrific road accident took place on the Damoh-Chhatarpur State Highway late on the night of 22 December. In this accident, a dumper filled with ballast fell into a 25 feet deep culvert, resulting in the death of 3 people.

This accident happened near Batiagarh, where the dumper went out of control due to brake failure. In the accident, three people including a Congress leader Shehzad Khan got buried under the gravel and lost their lives. This incident has spread a wave of mourning in the area.

The culvert was about 25 feet deep, where the dumper overturned as soon as it fell and all three occupants were buried under the ballast.

After much effort, the three injured were taken out from under the ballast. Of these, 2 people died on the spot. The third injured Congress leader Shahzad Khan was brought to Damoh District Hospital in critical condition, from where he was referred to Jabalpur.

Referring to Amrit Yojana, Kailash Vijayvargiya said that many works under this scheme are incomplete in almost all the states of the country. He told that the budget received by the cities has reduced by about 70 percent and about 30 percent of the work is still pending. In such a situation, if the Central Government cooperates, then these schemes can be completed. The minister also mentioned the efforts being made towards a self-reliant municipal corporation. He told that through the property mapping system, property tax has increased by about 150 percent. Along with this, solar energy is being adopted in the energy sector and its own solar plant of about 250 MW capacity is being prepared, which will enable a major reduction in the electricity expenditure of the states.

A special session of Madhya Pradesh Assembly will be organized today i.e. 17th December, the main objective of which is to have a comprehensive discussion on developed, self-reliant and prosperous Madhya Pradesh. Narendra Singh Tomar said that this session will prove to be very useful in the direction of the development of the state.

This special session has been called on the occasion of completion of 69 years of the first session of the Assembly. Madhya Pradesh was formed on 1 November 1956 and the first session of the Legislative Assembly was held on 17 December the same year.
