Madhya Pradesh Police has released the official notification for recruitment to the posts of constable in Band Department. A total of 679 posts will be filled through this recruitment. The application process has started from 5th April 2026 and eligible candidates can apply till 19th April 2026. Under this recruitment, a total of 679 posts will be appointed. Of these, 184 posts have been earmarked for general category, 183 posts for OBC, 108 posts for SC, 136 posts for ST and 68 posts for EWS category.

age limit
For this recruitment, the minimum age of the candidate has been fixed at 18 years and maximum age is 33 years. Age will be calculated as on 19 April 2026. Reserved category candidates will be given age relaxation as per government rules.

application fee
The application fee has been determined differently according to the category. General and EWS category candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 500, while for SC, ST and OBC category candidates, the fee has been fixed at Rs 250. Apart from this, MP online portal fee of Rs 150 will have to be paid separately.

Ability
Candidates must have passed the qualifying intermediate or equivalent examination. However, for some posts the minimum qualification has also been kept as 8th pass.

physical fitness
Physical criteria have also been prescribed for recruitment. For General, OBC and EWS categories, minimum height should be 168 cm and chest should be 81-86 cm. For SC and ST categories, the height has been fixed at 165 cm and chest at 79-84 cm. Whereas for Gorkha, Garhwali and Kumaon categories, the length has been fixed at 158 ​​cm and chest at 76-81 cm.

What will be the salary?
Selected candidates will be given a salary ranging from Rs 19,500 to Rs 62,000 per month. Apart from this, they will also get other government allowances, which will be provided as per the rules of the state government.

Selection in this recruitment will be done through several stages. First of all, skill test and band playing test of the candidates will be taken. After this the interview will be conducted. Selected candidates will have to undergo physical measurement, medical examination and document verification. Candidates successful in all stages will be included in the final selection list.
