Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor and actress Sridevi’s film ‘Mr. India’ is one of the best films of Bollywood. The character of ‘Mogambo’ in the film is considered to be the best villain in the history of Indian cinema. This role was played by actor Amrish Puri. But this role was first offered to Anupam Kher. However, he was later rejected. He revealed in an interview that he was jealous of Amrish Puri after being rejected from the film.

Anupam Kher was jealous of Amrish Puri for not getting the role of ‘Mogambo’
In an interview given to Raj Shammi, Anupam Kher had revealed that he became jealous of Amrish Puri after not getting the role of Maugambo in the film ‘Mr. India’. He said, when Amrish Puri was replaced by Amrish Puri for the role of Mogambo in the film Mr. India, I was jealous and felt small. I felt like why was it removed? And how did he get the role? Why did you take my place?

He further said, ‘After all this the man starts feeling small. I felt very bad that I could not get the film. However, when I saw the film, I felt that I could not have played the role of Mogambo the way Amrish Puri played it.
